By registering the domain name yourself you retain the ownership of that particular domain name. Unless of course you decide to pass it onto another owner at some point.

Now then, in order to get around the issue of having the business owners name "as such" in the domain name,

Example: JohnSmithElectricalSupplies.mobi

You'd go with:

ElectricalSupplies(Your Town).mobi - local cover

ElectricalSupplies(Your State).mobi - regional cover

Or even go with the cheaper solution and purchase:

ElectricalSupplies(Your State).com and load your mobile site into a sub domain; "m" as below.

(m.)ElectricalSupplies(Your State).com (the cheaper and best solution)

Why?

Because this a two-pronged approach from where you would host two websites for the price of one domain name, and the desktop version could do wonders for helping to rank the mobi version -- and vice-ver'sa.

Now you've got yourself a generic domain name which could be used for any business within your chosen business sector and the area (town or state) they want to target.

I know we’re getting off the subject of the WSO, but I have issues with this concept. Like I see that “PizzaChicago.mobi” is available. So I get it and lease it to a pizza place (say their domain name is “JohnSmithPizza.com”) on a monthly basis. That’s fine as it goes….

But I don’t see how a site with a name like that helps this pizza place, unless one can rank for it. Maybe I’m wrong there, I’m actually not sure.

But also, I can only do this with one pizza place; if I wanted to lease to another pizza place, I need a new generic domain, like “BestPizzaChicago.mobi”. I dunno, seems risky to keep doing that, but maybe I am missing something. I’d rather create “JohnSmithPizza.mobi”, sell the site and the domain but host it myself and charge a monthly maintenance fee.

Your blog that was failing is now working - with EzMobileSiteGenerator installed.

I now have to find a workaround for the piece of code that caused the problem, but now that I have an opportunity to reproduce the error and have discovered what is causing it, it should take too long to come up with a fix.

If my client doesn't have WP installed on their main website, can I create and m subdomain and install WP there then add your plugin? The main website wouldn't be WP, but the m subdomain would be. I ask because I want to build these websites for clients with all sorts of websites, but I don't want to go the .mobi route or host on my domain.

Hey guys and gals please be patient as Irene is only one person and she is working as fast as she can to resolve the problem!

It is hectic enough trying to manage a launch here when everything goes smoothly and even harder when there are technical difficulties.

It is virtually impossible for one person to test for all the possible combinations of server/host/WP settings before a launch like this so problems do come up.

I know you are all anxious to use your new Mobile Site Generator but please just be patient and I am sure that Irene will get everything squared away as quickly as possible!

This sounds like a great mobile solution. Not tickled pink about flowing through WP but that's ok. My greatest concern is that some of the demo site pages don't hold up well when validated for mobile.

The most glaring offense is stylesheet syntax. Obviously I (you, we) can fix it but I'd like to see Irene commit to correcting the problem.

I have to disagree with you here. I have some html sites that the W3C mobileOK Checker (W3C mobileOK Checker) rates at 100%. None of them fall below 95%. I feel very confident that a competitor will not be able to walk into a client of mine and show them a better rated site.

Looks like you did a great job of making an easy to use product. Your product makes creating the sites very easy and quick, but your example sites that I checked off your sales page rate only in the 28-53% range.

I guess people will have to decide whether the ease of making the sites makes up for the low ratings the sites get.

If you are in the business of building sites for clients, you better hope that a competitor doesn't show them the low ratings of the site you just built for them with this plug-in.

IMHO I don't think WP will get you a highly rated site. The WP system presently just has too much excess baggage for mobile sites to operate efficiently enough to get the high ratings.

When I make a site for a client I want to make sure it is the best it can be, not just the easiest for me to slap together.

1. Delete the plugin from your blog

2. Install the new version 1.02.08

3. Activate the new version.

That's it for most users.

Anyone affected by the activation issue. Here's an additional step that you need to do.

4. Go to EzMobile Themes and open each theme and press the Update button. This step is necessary because the Activate only partly completed if you received the error.

That's all you need to do.

The cost to develop a good, solid WSO is far beyond what is earned on sales of the product. This is because of the high rate of commissions paid to affiliates who drive traffic to your offer. In many cases 100% is paid on the basic product, and one-time offers are usually 50%.

That doesn't leave much for the creator and you have to sell a ton of units to just break even on the time invested. Most of us don't.

The only way for a producer to stay in business on the Warrior Forum is to send affiliate offers to his/her subscribers. The income from that keeps people in business.

Without affiliate revenue, WSOs would be priced five times higher, or more.

If Warriors are willing to pay that — $100 or $200 for a product — the realistic market value if sold away from the WF, and buy in sufficient numbers, then I think a lot of producers would be happy never to send affiliate offers. Unfortunately, this isn't likely to happen.

Finally, how would we learn about new products? Most of us get tipped off because we subscribe to various lists, we don't hang around the WSO forum to see what comes out every day.

The current system is far from perfect and I'm open to thoughts on how we can all make it better — while still feeding our families.

That really depends on the amount of traffic that each mobile site is receiving.

If you have sites that are only receiving a few visitors per day, you could have lots.

If you have one site that gets as much traffic as Amazon, then it would be one!

Please don't think I am being flippant in that comment, because I'm not. It's a bit like shared hosting ... there is a limit on the resources and you have to balance the traffic volumes to the server capabilities.

I know it not an exact answer, but I hope that helps a little.

I noticed examples are now up. I have to say that I am much more impressed now. Very nice Irene...your videos didn't do it justice. I am very picky about the aesthetics of sites I sell.

I have 2 questions though. I don't see an example with video...

1 can we add video to these mobile sites...

2. I didn't notice any Social Icon Taps (kind of a standard footer) on any examples. Is this currently available or possible in the near future?

3. I notice these don't go to Landscape...is there an adjustment to allow this. As a fat fingered man, this is the ONLY way I surf the net or type on a phone...and I know I'm not alone, so I find it VERY important. I can't, and I mean this in all seriousness, type on my iphone in standard view (unless I want to eventually chuck it against the wall haha). Most small business people I talk to are also generally men...and when I show them how much easier it is to navigate and see their site...well, you know where I'm going with this

I'll quickly answer your 2 questions

1. Yes, but be cautious. Apple devices can't play Flash.
(I am working on something related to this for a future version.)

2. Yes, Social Widget as mentioned on the salespage. Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, YouTube.

3. Yes, it does landscape. View any of the sites on a mobile device and turn it to landscape. One quick point on this - Some of the QR Readers don't switch from portrait to lanscape when you tilt the phone, so if you go to one of the sites via a QRCode reader, you might think it doesn't support landscape, but go direct you will see that it does.

PERFECTLY stated Jerry.

I can give everyone a really good recent example...Maria Gudelis's Mobile Challenge....100% affiliate commission on BOTH the front end AND THE BACKEND...100%!

So did they do the Challenge WSO for just about free? (Maria has a list, so they made something)...How did they make money? Did they cover the cost of the WSO?

Yes, I'm sure they did...but later on, when they sold most of the folks who bought the Mobile Challenge a product called WPMobile Pro that has been talked about in here a few times today....and at the minimum they made a 50% commish on each sale, (so half of $197 per sale)...though they probably landed a much better percentage share due to volume.

And before the course is over, guarranteed they will roll out more products aff or otherwise to the members... in fact I rec'd an email from Maria today touting her 10,000 Dollar Coaching opening up...

Does this bother me?

No...it's business. And as long as the person is ethical and tries their best to do their due dilligence and make sure they are recommending great products to me......I'll listen! And if they are really good at selling me, I will pay attention and learn from their processes! You should too!

I just purchased and downloaded the Mobile Site Generator plugin. I am excited to take it for a test drive. WOW, just checked my email and I had 186 delivery notices for this. I think there must be a glitch in your autoresponder.

I did buy earlier today. I will say that the home icon looks very pixelated on the iphone4s. Most likely retna display related.

Not tickled pink about flowing through WP but that's ok. My greatest concern is that some of the demo site pages don't hold up well when validated for mobile. The most glaring offense is stylesheet syntax. Obviously I (you, we) can fix it but I'd like to see Irene commit to correcting the problem.

I have to say that I am much more impressed now. Very nice Irene...your videos didn't do it justice. I am very picky about the aesthetics of sites I sell. I have 2 questions though. I don't see an example with video... 1 can we add video to these mobile sites... 2. I didn't notice any Social Icon Taps (kind of a standard footer) on any examples. Is this currently available or possible in the near future? 3. I notice these don't go to Landscape...is there an adjustment to allow this. As a fat fingered man, this is the ONLY way I surf the net or type on a phone...and I know I'm not alone, so I find it VERY important. I can't, and I mean this in all seriousness, type on my iphone in standard view (unless I want to eventually chuck it against the wall haha). Most small business people I talk to are also generally men...and when I show them how much easier it is to navigate and see their site...well, you know where I'm going with this Thanks, Art
