Hi all, Doc here and just wanted to give you a quick update of my progress. Again, I had some unfortunate Trademark Bidding issues in November and part of December, so was feeling a bit down. However, because of the overall volume in December due the holidays, it turned out to be a fairly positive month. I just received the last of my six December commission checks yesterday.

Here are my stats from December 2012:

$1,681: Commissions
$-377: Ad Spend
$-460: Forfeited due to TM Bidding
$844 - Total Profit

January was definitely a lot slower, especially since I was still a bit gun shy to do any heavy advertising until I received all of my December commission checks. However, February it showing a better uptick in sales. I'll keep you posted...

I have a couple of questions. I see that Bing had analytics which provides keyword conversion data. Is there a reason we should be using prosper 202 instead of the built in service? Perhaps this was added after you did the videos?

Also, regarding landing pages, why can't we just create a subdomain on a relevant domain and redirect to the affiliate page? Thanks

Hi Brian,

Great question! We usually can't use Bing analytics because we would need to put some tracking code on the order confirmation page, which most merchants wouldn't be willing to do.

However if you can convince a merchant to do so, feel free to track your campaigns for its offer using Bing Analytics.

I'm about ready to give up. I'm a newbie to cpa and ppc. I've tried IM a few years back (doing seo) but never really had the time to dedicate to it and didn't see much results. I read about this system and decided to take some action. I started seeing some profits and I was so excited and motivated cuz I've never been able to make more than a couple of dollars online. Then yesterday I found out that I've been banned from 2 networks for tm bidding. I paused all the campaigns and contacted my AMs but still haven't heard back from them. I lost over $600 What should I do now? I don't want to keep putting more money into this only to get banned by networks.

Wich networks? Have you read the policy agreement about TM bidding? In order to evitate the ban, I m joining several networks and planning to do TM bid only if not expressly disallowed...

I am sorry for the loss you incurred. As I mentioned many times in the course, in our members area and in this thread, it is critical to thoroughly study the course before building any campaigns and follow the course step by step.

What happened to you somehow proves that the system works if used right. Therefore I suggest that re-watch the videos and/or re-read the manual before building new campaigns. Specifically, make sure that the keywords you are bidding on are allowed. This can easily be checked in a few minutes by looking at the offer description page for each product.

Question for members and/Nick, would you dump a campaign that has 484 impressions but no clicks? Its a clickbank product, and my ad copy is similar to what I see in the top positions. I've increased my bid and I'm only at position 7.96. When would you abandon this campaign, or what would you do? thanks

I have about 20 campaigns running right now and make the bulk of my money from only 4-5 products mostly from weight loss. However, in December I sold products in many different categories. I haven't had any luck with ClickBank products using Nick's method, so I've stuck with physical products instead.

Hi Brian...I would wait for 100 Clicks (not impressions) before making any conclusion. Also, your position of almost 8 could be related to having same landing page (as other ad bidders).

Your Ad position is ranked only by Quality score rating outlined by Bing. More on that here.

papaz322 was correct. Wait till you get around 100 clicks. If your ad is well written, its ad position will improve over time. As papaz322 mentioned, if your ad has the same domain name in your display URL as another ad which is above yours, then that ad will prevent your ad from showing up on the first page. You can use the strategy specified in the course to avoid this.

Yes, it is tougher with ClickBank products--unless you are REALLY good at writing ads and are an expert in bid management. So I would focus on physical products--at least at first.

When you check the check box next to "Affiliate Sub ID," you will get to enter any random SubID. I would enter "ZZZ" and click on "Update". The link will change to something like:

http://tr.cpaera.com/aff_c?offer_id=...11&aff_sub=ZZZ (This is NOT a real affiliate link.)

If you use the tracking software mentioned in the course, then you should add

http://tr.cpaera.com/aff_c?offer_id=...=1111&aff_sub=[[subid]]

in Step 3 when you add this campaign in to the tracking software.

Are someone having the same problem of mine?

I'm searching offers from several affiliate networks (clixgalore, coprosper, cpaera, cpaway, getoffersdirect, cj, leadkitchen, linkshare etc) but without luck...so I'm using clickbank only.

I wouldn't recommend clixgalore, cj or linkshare. It is important that you work with the right affiliate networks.

Anyone get this message from Bing when trying to submit an ad? "The URL is formatted incorrectly" I've done my ad exactly as Nick does in the video. I'm assuming they are referring to the destination url? its there a character limit?

PPC is very tricky and a friend of mine bought this course and he told me that it's very hard to make money with this course. I hope that I am wrong I know that Nick stated that alot of his students are making some money, but there is so much scrubbing going on with CPA offers and even with CB I have heard that there is lots of scrubbing issues. Further complications arise when you place an ad on Bing's 1st page and when someone clicks on your ad after they have clicked on another person's exact same ad with the same link, even if they buy from your link, the cookies from the other person's ad will ensure that the other person gets paid. This method was more workable 2-3 years ago, but now its getting harder and harder. I hope that I am wrong, but my hopes are slim.
