Hi Beth, Thanks for your message. I am still 100% supporting this course. I am posting campaigns for March, April and May in the next week or too because I'd like to run my test campaigns longer to get more accurate data. For now on you can promote the earlier campaigns. They will work as well as any newer campaigns. Thanks. Nick

Hi Nick, The following exchange took place over a year ago concerning Trademarks / product names etc. Does the current WSO address this issue and include all updates relating to it? Regards, Jack Hi Lotus1, Thanks for all your questions. I will answer them one by one. ===============YOUR QUESTION=========================== Quote: Originally Posted by lotus1 Hi Nick, I have one very important question and I hope you will answer soon. I just bought the main WSO and OTO too and immediatly went over some of your cut & paste campaigns you provide for us with OTO. But then I see that for keywords when bidding you are almost exclusively using trademark names and terms including product name which as you probably know is forbidden. E.g. As seen on PC and MarketHealth and almost all others are stricly forbidding PCC bidding on any trademark terms and exact product names! So, how is this working then? If I use this could I be banned from networks or is there something I am missing Please help! ===============MY ANSWER=========================== Thanks for such a great question. You are right in pointing out that I almost exclusively bid on product names, website URL and author or company name. However I do have an almost bullet-proof strategy to make this strategy work. Unfortunately I can't reveal too much here for obvious reasons because I don't want to offend big affiliate networks here. But in EZ TV Money, I will teach members exactly how to work around the odds against affiliates. I invite you to give me a chance to prove to you that my strategy works. Meanwhile, I will send you a PM to explain what I do to make this work. Thanks. Nick |

Thanks for your PM. I have answered your tickets and please let me know if you have any additional questions. Thanks. Nick
The whole business model is to bid on keywords to promote products. It is not a completely new business concept and it is 100% legal and ethical. It is a 100% white hat system. We just have to make sure that we are following Bing Ads editorial guidelines as well as your affiliate network's policy, both of which are addressed in the course. I hope this helps. Thanks! Nick
Thanks for your post! You are aboslutely right. If we want to be able to make it work for the long term, we need to follow affiliate networks' guideline. Nick

Hey guys, There seems to be a lot of people getting banned, but I'm having a hard time believing it's for no reason. I'm certainly no Bing guru, so take what I'm about to say with a grain of salt: When I first bought this WSO, I was also concerned about getting banned for no reason, but since it's not my main focus I didn't really care if I did. However, when I started reading all the terms, restrictions, and fine print of Bing, the products and affiliate networks, it all became a lot clearer. I haven't been banned (yet) but I am making a concerted effort to abide by ALL the terms of EVERY link in the chain. Based on what I've come across so far, my guess people are being banned for one or more of the following reasons: 1) promoting products that forbid trademark PPC bidding 2) building campaigns with unrelated keywords (example: if your product is insurance related, do NOT use restaurant related keywords, Bing considers that misleading) 3) promoting a landing page with auto-start video(s) and very little text 4) promoting a landing page with a pop/up/under/over 5) promoting forbidden offers (gambling, torrents, how to get out of a speeding ticket, porn, etc.) 6) promoting landing pages that trap users, or in Bing's words "... You will not implement and/or use technology that prevents a user from using the "Back" button on such user's browser to return to the prior site or any Microsoft site. ..." Warriors may be accustomed to this practice because of this annoying approach in the MMO niche, but normal users HATE it, Bing knows that and will punish you accordingly. etc. Bottom line, this WSO requires a LOT of due diligence and attention to detail. If you're not willing to read the fine print and abide by ALL the terms (which do change over time) you should look elsewhere. |

If you're getting hung up on thinking your Prosper202 "landing page" is going to give you a low score, in my experience they have no adverse effect, but sucky merchant pages sure do. The other thing that has killed quality scores for me is not staying on top of the campaign and pruning unprofitable keywords fast enough. This WSO should work for you (imo and with no guarantee) if you pay attention to the finer details and learn from your mistakes, but it's certainly no magic bullet that auto stuffs money into bank accounts with zero risk. Magic bullets don't exist, except for maybe those $40 blender thingies. ![]()

Personally, I think there's enough good merchants and products out there over the various affiliate networks that it's best to just switch products if that ever became an issue in a campaign. I guess you could build your own landing page or mini site, but that would require another level of expertise and needlessly complicate the process. A good merchant site should do the selling, your ad should be just be a relevant pre-sell.
![]() But glad I could encourage you. ![]()

Hi CanuckWarrior, Thanks for your detailed post. Other warriors will certainly appreciate it. I do want other fellow warriors to know that only a very small percentage of members got banned and they got banned ONLY because they were not following the course. Many people were misled into thinking that making money online is as easy as just the click of a button. Well, if we want to make $100 or $200 per month, then yes, it is that easy. But if we want to make $5000 per month, it takes significantly more effort to do that. That's why there are over 200 pages of solid content and 10 videos in this course to help my students learn the ins and outs of PPC advertising. Everything you mentioned is covered in the course. I definitely agree with you. If someone is looking to make a few hundred dollars per month by clicking a few buttons, then they should probably look somewhere else. But if someone is looking to make at least several thousand dollars per month and they are ready to run a serious business, this is your course. Thanks. Nick

Nick - I would suggest taking out any association to "Above All Offers" on your CPA good list. I just started running a offer with them, the same one I assume you were (or at least a student of yours was), that is how I got the idea. Both of the ads were taking down, they claimed for fraud. Although I've only ran PPC on it for less then 3 days and got a conversion. Banned a few hours later, and I see you or your student ad is gone too. Normally I wouldn't call out a CPA, but they deserve this one. I have screen proofs of every click matched up with my PPC. Product was ending in: VIE |

Sorry it won't happen this June. There is just too much going on and I will have to delay it till after the summer. Thanks. Nick
Thanks for your post. We can't make a judgement based on one offer though. Also we can't copy what another student does because many students have not fully studied the course and/or are not following it. Please just make sure the offer meets all the guidelines in the course and you are following Bing Ads' and your affiliate networks' policies. Thanks. Nick

Being late to the party the problem I'm having about jumping onboard is that you keep promising an update but keep moving it forward. So you buy in to this course only to find out that someday (soon, whenever you get around to it) you've released the new version and we have to buy that one in order to keep up with market trends, although you mention at a discount, so it becomes a wait and see. And as this course is a dime sale, being late to the party it is more expensive only to find out that the new version is coming out someday soon and that will start off cheaper. How about a more definite release date, lets narrow it down, is going to be this year....? |

Are you jumping to a landing page using a bookmark after first opening your browser, then trying to press the back button? If so, a disabled back button is normal, you can't go back before your start point. However, if you start with a Bing search, click on an ad, you should be able to go back to the original Bing search result screen.

Your ad is sending people to a landing page that has a fake Adobe update popup. When I clicked on your ad with my Playbook (using BlackBerry browser) and desktop (using Firefox) I received the following popup on both: "WARNING! You should update your Adobe Flash Immediately Update to Adobe Flash 12.0 now (Required)" Note that the download site is NOT Adobe and that the latest release of Flash is currently 11.7.700.224 You might want to correct this (if possible) before submitting to Bing. Again, I'm not the Bing guru (so take with appropriate salt), but that seems in violation of terms to me.

No it won't. Because 2.0 is going to be a complete overhaul of the original course and there will be brand new chapters and videos that are not in 1.0 right now. I would have to put in a lot of time on this new course. Judging by the quality of this WSO and OTO, you would know that it will be totally worth the price. Thanks. Nick
It is the best to avoid those products so your Bing Ads account doesn't get extra scrutiny. Thanks. Nick Thanks for your post. As in most product launches, there are delays and uncertainty. You really don't have to purchase 2.0. This version will work just as fine as 1 year or 2 years ago. As for the 2.0 version, I am afraid I can't make any promises as to when the new version is coming out. The only thing I can say is that I plan to launch it in September. Thanks. Nick
What click management software are you using? Are you using cloaking (not the cloaking in the tracking software)? If yes, then I am certain you are not following my course to the letter because I clearly stated in the course that we should NOT use any cloaking software. Thanks. Nick

Since Canuck is seeing an additional potential problem with the affiliate network, let me direct you to an earlier test which exhibited the identical problem that I describe, but does not involve any affiliate network at all. (i.e., The ad "campaign" is simply a test with very simple, text-only pages.) Please note that this "Back"-breaking behavior only seems to happen with Firefox and MSIE. Thank you!

It may very well be; I'm honestly not sure. Do you have a (separate) Firefox profile for private browsing, where you can delete all cookies and then try again? I have never seen this personally in conjunction with my following Nick's program. I do recall a completely-unrelated, spammy thread elsewhere on WF a few weeks back where a member was pushing others to a "buy many social views" website. I observed a pop-up ad on that site that attempted to coerce a "Flash" installation. Of course, I did not do that. When I pointed this out in the thread, (with the unspoken implication that said malware was how these views were actually generated), the OP got highly defensive, and the whole thread disappeared shortly after that. I strongly doubt there's any connection. It would mean that malware would've had to travel onto my Windows desktop (without any install) and then later attach itself to Prosper202 when I downloaded it and then installed it onto my Linux server. A great plot for a science fiction writer, but no hacker is that determined, (unless one is trying to bring down a particular uranium enrichment facility). Not to mention your own observation (below) that the problem goes away when we use my Prosper202 install without that particular ad. So my best guess is that there is a problem with that ad sequence, but it's only triggered under certain circumstances, and it's likely not generated from my server. That's why I'm wondering about a separate Firefox profile. (Don't simply delete all your cookies in your "regular" profile, or we'll likely lose any clues about the trigger.)
OK, I just set this up; thanks. As expected, a parallel test campaign without cloaking does allow the Back button to work correctly. I need to sleep on this; maybe I'm missing something obvious. Could I trouble you to please set up a similar "dummy" cloaked campaign on your server, Canuck? It sounds like you are experienced enough that this would not cost you very much time at all, and it would allow us to compare apples-to-apples. I'll take a look tomorrow when my head is fresh. Thanks!

So I guess it's going to boil down to how literal Bing enforces the Back button clause. Will it just be deliberate pop-ups on exit or will it also include cloaked links called from Prosper202 that locks people into a loop back to the merchant page when using IE. NOTE: Chrome goes back with one click of the back button, Firefox only goes back if you quickly double click the back button. Edit: Added the last paragraph and removed the rest of my original post so it doesn't needlessly confuse anyone or inadvertently hijack the thread.

I'm not really concerned about that fake Adobe 12 popup, I first came across it a few weeks ago checking potential offers from one of my affiliate panels and it was only on one offer. I think David may have found the same offer so he can PM the actual ID to you, I didn't write it down but I think it was in the MaxBounty network. What we're actually concerned about you should be able to test with any of your own campaigns that has cloaking on by default in Prosper202 (or just use the test landing pages that David set up in post #2705 by clicking on the "earlier test" hyperlink in the last paragraph). So making sure you have Prosper cloaking on by default, do a Bing search that brings up one of your own ads. Click on that ad, it will take you to your landing page and then to the merchant page. Now press the back button and try to get back to your original search page. If you're using Chrome, no prblem. If you're using Firefox, you'll have to do a quick double click on the back button, single click won't work. Now try IE, no matter what you so, you'll be trapped on the merchant page. Next remove Prosper cloaking, retest and the Back button will take you back to the original search screen first click on every browser no problem. Hope that made sense. ![]()
