3 MONTH UPDATE -

Ok! Its time to talk about some results and patterns I've been noticing with Isaacs service. I've only sent 3 sites to Isaac so far, and the first 2 sites I sent him ranked #1 on Google in 6 weeks.

But both of those sites were well developed with lots of content (50-100 pages) BEFORE I handed them over to Isaac. And both of them ranked ridiculously fast and blew me away.

The 3rd site I gave him (my most recent), I got real lazy and only put 10 pages on it. I figured since he was able to rank my last couple sites so fast, that maybe I could get away with a thin site.

This was NOT the case.
And I was very ignorant to think that Isaac could outrank a 450 page, 8 year old domain with a brand new, 10 page site.

This 3rd site took 6 weeks to start ranking in the top 100. Then it froze up in the top of page 2 for 4-5 weeks straight at the same exact position. So I started to get paranoid that something was wrong. My last 2 sites BLASTED through page 2 and 1 like little missles. And my 3rd, thin site, is targeting the same keywords as my 1st, much larger site.

So I figured "maybe the site just needs more content". And I added about 15 more articles to it. This brought me up to around 25 pages of content. The site dropped for a week or 2 (which I was expecting) then it popped up on page 1, #5 of Google!!!

The only downside is I don't make money in this niche unless I'm in the top 2 (its a very small market). And I'm pretty sure the site is still too small to get in the top 3. So I'm going to slowly add more content and I will aim for a minimum of 50-100 pages like my other 2 sites. The site will probably drop again, then ideally, it will be big enough to rank in the top 3.

So overall, I'm extremely pleased with Isaacs work.

But I'm writing this as a warning to people who want to send Isaac thin sites.

If your top competitor has 450 pages of content, do NOT expect to outrank him with 10 pages on your site. :p My #1 competitor has 450 pages of content and Isaac helped me outrank him (my first site) with only 75 pages of content. My second site I did 60 pages of content and again, Isaac got me to #1 FAST and that site is still ranking like a BEAST.

But that 3rd site was a big mistake on my part. And never again will I send Isaac a site with less than 50 pages of content. That's where I'm drawing the line in the sand. And I'm fairly confident if I filled that site out properly from day 1.... chances are I'd be #1 right now.

I also want to do a test on a 4th site. And this will be my biggest site (100 pages minimum) that I send to Isaac. But I'm very interested to see how this 4th site will perform. If the site ranks anything like my first 2, then I'll know for a fact that Google LOVES big sites.

I know this isn't ground breaking news for experienced marketers. But I think its important to remind folks. If you waste the extra time now to get a lot of content done, I believe you'll save a lot of time and money when it comes to ranking.

Isaac IS a master at SEO. Better than anyone I know of. But at the same time, you really have to pull your fair share of the weight. And the more time you put into the sites you send him, the easier you make his life, the easier you make your life, and the happier everyone will be.

If I were in Isaac's shoes I wouldn't even have a website for this service.

Incidentally, running a WSO means you have to be offering the same service elsewhere at 'normal' rates. Hence Isaac's site, at least that's my reasoning.

Thin sites still rank but much less than what used to be years ago when you could rank a 1 paged MFA site very quick.

Okay, so I promised to leave a review after a month, but to be quite frank with you, I don't even have to wait for a full month to end.

Let me give you a bit of a background about myself. I do design, Wordpress development, SEO and UXD for a living. I've ordered an SEO service only once in my life, since I simply didn't have enough time to do it myself, and the site wasn't that important to me. I usually stay away from SEO services, especially on forums such as WF, BHW etc...

However, since I'm mostly doing information architecture and conversion rate optimization these days, I decided to simply outsource the offpage SEO to someone who is trusted. I had been searching for a good service for a couple of days, until I randomly stumbled upon this thread. I didn't get any recommendations from anyone about Isaac whatsoever.

Being a bit desperate because of the lack of time on my end, I decided to take it for a ride. And boy, have I been pleasantly surprised.

Keep in mind that the phrases that I gave him weren't that competitive(local keywords for my country), but to see the page jump to #1 from #7 in 10 days for one phrase, and from #16 to #4 in 10 days simply amazes me. The second phrase won't go up any more, because my direct competitor is Google itself, so I'm absolutely happy about the outcome. It couldn't have gone any better. Having the authorhip profile picture in the SERP helps me get most of the clicks anyway.

My client is extremely happy. She owns a huge company which has been robbed in the past by terrible PPC marketers (which is a common practice in my country since nobody even knows what organic SEO means), and for her, these phrases mean prestige above everything else.

Needless to say, I was hesitant to post this review here, since every new positive review attracts unneeded attention (I'd rather have this guy for myself haha), but he deserves it.

One more thing guys. Focus on your onpage - your user experience, your conversion rate optimization and your information architecture. Many of us think that offpage SEO is everything, but if your foundations are weak, even if you do rank (and Isaac makes this part of the equation extremely easy for us) your site is eventually going to tank because of bad user metrics (which trigger Panda).

All-in-all, it seems unreal to me that I was able to find someone who really knows what he's doing. If he allows me to do so, I'll start outsourcing most of my offpage SEO to Isaac in the near future.

Expectation starting to match already! A brand new page made on 13th March, obviously nowhere for no keyword, is in top 70 for one keyword and top 80 for the another already. I had placed the order on 21st March so just 10 days to it!
