Yes, we have some serious video SEO info in the High Voltage Video Forum.

But let me say this, based on your post...I think it's a mistake to need to rank "a" video. IMO, your goal should be to have multiple videos.

Often, you are better off using the basic video SEO techniques and if you don't get results, spend your time creating another video for other keywords rather than spending more time on advanced SEO tactics.

The keyword(s) really need to be valuable to put much time into video SEO. And you need to make sure that Google even lists videos for those keywords, as Google doesn't return videos for every keyword phrase.

Not to mention, many videos can get more traffic from using the internal marketing options YT provides than they do from search results.

Creating a video training course and was looking for some tips on how to host and deliver the content to paying customers, as well as tips on how to market the damn thing effectively :) Since video marketing is somewhat new to me - is this forum going to give me ideas, tips and insights to best practices, or is it solely geared towards SEO and youtube ranking?

We do cover some self-hosting issues, but not alot. We cover a wide variety of topics, from creating video, news, and more, and members are always able to post topics that they want to discuss.

IMO, many members do tend to focus too much on VSEO than the other video marketing methods, but I have posted a huge collection of YT video marketing tips that aren't VSEO.

For your particular concerns, you aren't limited to video marketing and can use many of the "traditional" marketing strategies. But since you are using video, you can also integrate many of the benefits of YT of the other video directories into your marketing plan.

We focus more on marketing than hardware, as well as a wide variety of available resources.

For cameras, I've made more money from videos shot with a $70 Samsung than any other method. If you're a pro and need top quality videos and do things like shoot weddings, you're more advanced than we are. But, we'd welcome your tips. ;)

There are some members that offer outsourcing services, etc.

I do touch on Sony Vegas, but there's tons of great videos for it for free on Youtube. I try hard not to duplicate what is widely available elsewhere.

It's a forum. Threads are started by a variety of people for a variety of reasons. Some threads are "how to", some are people asking questions, others are a list of resources or strategies, others discuss video marketing related news, etc.

Yes, there's a thread on writing scripts. I won't say it's complete, but it does discuss creating scripts for videos. And like all threads, you can contribute by adding your own point of view as well as asking questions to keep the conversation going.

Why did you delete the direct question to you ? I am asking why you did not pay the rights to the audio you used on the example. I have a few problems with your post.

1) I didn't delete any of your posts from this thread. I don't have the power to do so.

2) The name of the song in my first example is called "Delorian Blues". It is available at a couple of royalty free sites, including Pond5 AND Video Blocks.

I got my version from Video Blocks, as I've had a membership with them for about a year and a half.

Here's the URL for a few different versions of "Delorian Blues" at Video Blocks:

If I "stole" a song from Pond5, it would have their audio-overlay saying "Pond5.com over and over". Right?

If you believe Video Blocks is stealing Pond5's songs, be sure to let both parties know. And if Video Blocks is in the wrong, I'll quickly and gladly remove the song from any videos I have.

But considering I paid for a license in good faith, I will keep using it until someone gives me some actual evidence Video Blocks stole the song. Maybe Pond5 stole it from them?

However, IMO the most likely scenario is the creator of the song licensed it to multiple royalty-free sites, so he/she could make more money. But I do have a license.

There's tips for using some video making software you won't find elsewhere. However, I try not to post common things you can easily find on Youtube. There's tons of Camtasia videos on Youtube.

The "best" software to use depends on the type of videos you want to make, if you have a PC or Mac, what your skills and budget are, etc. There's really no "one size fits all" and different members have different opinions.

As far as affiliate marketing, there's no single "best way". The High Voltage Video Forum gives a wide range of video marketing tips and advice.
