For the price Jeff is offering here this is a no-brainer folks. In fact it's cheaper than what I'm paying.

You can select up to 2 other lists to remove the subscriber from on the list creation page and the list edit page from drop down menu. super easy !

Vendor-Lock Auto-Funnel Page Builder - People would always ask me if there is any software out there that will build a squeeze page or optin page, along with a matching thank you page, and put in a web form for a particular list in their autoresponder. Until now there was nothing out there, but I have added a special new feature to the VL autoresponder v2.9. You now have a new feature on the web forms page. It allows you to enter Text for squeeze page or optin page, Text for the thank you page, add a photo or product image, set the optin redirect link, choose a web form without copying or pasting any code, and build the .html web pages on your server all in ONE CLICK ! This allows you to quickly build squeeze pages, or optin pages for "registering" a a product after payment is made. It will create the thank you page to match, and add the link you entered on the thank you page. You can use this to say "thanks for registering your product, while you're wating for your download email, please check out this new amazing product ! " with your link to that product as an upsell. Super fast and One Click Easy !

Broadcast Feedback - I've added instant feedback data on the home page that tells you how many "opens" and " unique clicks" on each of your 3 cloaked tracking links for the "last broadcast sent". This way you can see how many opens and clicks you get for last broadcast on the home page without having to go into your lists and check it from there. Just plain handy !

Version 3.0

Here's what I've added in v3.0

Bug Fixes - After PHP version 5.5 was installed on servers some annoying new bugs popped up. This was due to the way magic quotes works now in PHP 5.5+ along with a few other changes required to code because some functions have depreciated in new versions of PHP. This caused bugs such as MySQL errors when trying to save, create, preview or edit a broadcast or followup message. There were also issues with tracking links not working, or not showing up in a message. There was a bug causing images added to emails to have broken link and not show up in the email messages. You'll be glad to know that every single one of these bugs have been squished ! Everything is now up to date with latest version of PHP and all bugs have been fixed.

Funnel Page View - The funnel page builder was added in last version, but you had to visit your /pages directory manually if you wanted to look up an older opt-in page or squeeze page you created. Now there is a button on home page that shows all your pages you created with the Auto-Funnel Page Builder so you can click and visit them, and copy the URL for an email campaign.

Enhanced Navigation - The main control panel got a slight clean up, some buttons were added in this version, so I have moved a few buttons around and made things fit a little better, but don't worry no features have been removed or changed from previous versions. The buttons are all there, but there are a few more now, so if you don't see your buttons where you expect, look around... they didn't move far !

.CSV file Auto-Delete - In past versions, when you would upload a .csv file email list to the autoresponder, it would leave the file on your server, so you would have to manually delete it using ftp or cpanel file manager. I like to make things really easy for my customers to use, so I have built in auto-delete now to the list upload system. Now when it has finished uploading all the data from your .csv file and confirms that all subscribers were added successfully, it deletes the file from the server automatically so no futher action is required.

One Click Auto-Update System - This is the last time you will ever have to do a manual upgrade ! That's right, I've finally added a completely automated auto-update system to the Vendor-Lock Autoresponder ! You will not have to download anything, you will no longer have to upload those files to your hosting account, you won't have to run the update installer manually in a browser to upgrade the databases, you won't even have to leave your control panel to download the updates, or even find out if there is a new version. The Vendor-Lock autoresponder will now tell you on the home page if there is a newer version available. It will popup with bright yellow banner to let you know there is a newer release of the Vendor-Lock Autoresponder. When that happens, all you do is click the new " Update Now " button on the home page. The New Auto-Update system will retrieve the new update package from our update servers via ftp. It will then save it to your server, and unzip the package and load all the new files into the correct directories on your server. No more messing up which folder you upload the files to !

The new files will be ready to go, and it will also over-write any old files that need replacing with the new versions. It will then continue to unpack the update script and run it automatically, so you don't have to do anything. It will only take a few seconds to upgrade your Vendor-Lock Autoresponder now. No more work, no more messing up files, it's a completely automated update system now. There will still be manual upgrade packages available as usual inside your cpanel to download in case you have corrupt files that won't allow you to login and run the new auto-update. Also, if you have an older version than v3.0 you will need to do manual upgrade to get the new version, but after that you will be able to get any new version I release in seconds
It will download the package, install the new files, replace the old files, update your databases and fix all bugs instantly with one click. This is a huge leap in the Vendor-Lock Autoresponder history book, this is a feature I've been wanting to add for years. It took a ton of code work and tweaking to get it to work the way I wanted, but it's finally here ! and it's dead simple. One Click !

Q - Is the domain for the one year plan registered in the customers name ?

A - Yes, the domain is registered to YOU when you order.
You will recieve your ICANN domain registration details
directly from ICANN shortly after ordering.

Q - I just ordered, and received my cPanel and hosting details, but where is my autoresponder ?

A - The hosting accounts are setup and domains registered instantly from our billing system.
The autorepsonder takes manual labour to install. I need to upload files,
create MySQL databases for you, and add cron job to your cPanel.
Please allow me some time to do this step. I will send you a second
email with your autoresponder details and login shortly after you order.
I usually have it ready within a few hours after your order has been made.
If you ordered while I'm sleeping, I will install your autoresponder the minute

Q - How long have you been in business ?

A - I have been doing Internet Marketing for over 10 years. I started out doing web

AWeber is $20 minimum, and more and more as your list grows.
My Autoresponder won't cost you a dime more for additional subscribers...
You could have a million subs and still be paying $3.99 per month.

The delivery rate is excellent. Some of my customers say my autoresponder
is the only thing that gets through to gmail inboxes.
I feel this is because although it's not being talked about much....
some email providers are starting to block services like AWeber because
they know that 99.7% of the email are marketers pushing products.
So using a self hosted autoresponder gives you an advantage.
I have seen the advantage, and so have my customers.

You have full control of your lists. If you want to add a list of emails
at AWeber, you have to wait for them to approve your list, and often....

Also for the autoresponder does it have an email signing up function, where the customer send u an email and will be automatically signed up to your list?

Thanks for the great reply..I have edited my original post as I know that the price is much cheaper than Aweber and never meant for it to look like I was complaining about the price.

It all sounds good to be honest with you,. Will the price increase in the future? If so by how much per year or month?

Are you likely to be supporting and running this service for years to come? Dont want to build a list and then lose it all if you sell orpull the plug.

Hi Danny,
No on the SMTP, but maybe in the future.
I add new features all the time like the new Unique
Youtube video web form builder that I recently added.

YES. you can have people sign up via email.
all you do is open an email account on your new hosting account
you get in this bundle, and use that email for people to send to.
Then in the autoresponder you set the IMAP settings for that
email account so it can auto-login and check for new subs.
It will not add subs twice if they send two emails.

Too bad you can't see the video. It would really answer your
questions and show you the killer new features.

If you get the one year plan you get a year free registration so
you don't pay anything for the domain today. Our domain
prices are very fair. We have domains as low as $5.35 per year.
whois guard is $1.99 per year. Yes, we offer SSL certificates too

Real customer unbiased review

I've been using Jeff's hosting and autoresponder service for just about a year now. I suppose I was one of his first few hosting clients. Anyway, Jeff's (Vendor-Lock) services have more than met my needs. Sure there were some glitches and bugs at first but he was quick to jump on them and get them squared away really quick.

Oh and just so you know, he is correct about emails from his service hitting the inbox better than aweber. I can send out the exact same emails through both Jeff's service and aweber and only the email sent through the Vendor-Lock service hits the inbox every time where as the same email sent through aweber will end up in either the spam or promotions tab.

For the price Jeff is offering here this is a no-brainer folks. In fact it's cheaper than what I'm paying.

Just trying to understand why you need us to provide a domain name for your autoresponder service as indicated in the FAQ section of this WSO.

Other than price savings are there any other advantages to paying on a yearly basis rather than monthly

Quick question, I have skimmed through, but cant see a answer. Is sending emails limited to per hour? I only ask as I have a huge list, if sending is throttled to say 500 like hostgator it would take 160 hours to send 1 mail out to my list

Hello Webbo83.

You have the control over your throttle.
You can set it to what ever you like,
keeping in mind the cron job for mail send runs every 5 minutes.
So, what you set as your throttle is how many per run every 5 minutes.
You have a daily throttle setting too. Although you have full control,
I do not recommend ripping a broadcast out to a huge list too fast.

Most email providers these days will grey list you if you send them more
then 20 emails per hour. Such as Gmail. If you get grey listed they will
block your emails for the rest of the day. So you are only hurting yourself
trying to send out to too many subscribers too fast. You are much better
off starting out slow, and as your domain and email reputation gains trust,
you will be able to start sending more messages to these email providers
without hitting the grey list limitations.

These limitations are now in place with many/most of the email providers
out there, so no matter what autoresponder you use,
you will face the same situation. Only with AWeber and others like that,
they don't tell you that you have hit grey list limitations,
where as running your own autoresponder on your hosting account,
you will receive info about your emails and any bounces directly.

Also, if you read the review I posted there you will see people have been
using my autoresponder and hosting to get better delivery rates and open
rates for years now.

Also, you get my help with your email marketing success.
I have 10 years experience with it, and have been selling hosting
and software on the WF here for 5 years. Email marketing has changed
dramatically in the past year. Having some guidance to your success
is an added bonus when you work with me and the Vendor-Lock Autoresponder.

Thats great news, I only usually email my list every other day, but I tried self hosting with hostgator, due to their restrictions it would only send out a maximum of 500 emails per hour, that just 1 broadcast to the list. Unlike places like aweber that my mail out will take just 1-2 hours to be sent to every sub, with HG it would take 160 hours.

I think I will jump on this now I know its not restricted

And for the record, AWeber is not sending out the messages
as fast as you think. On your end it seems like they went out
in 2 hours, but they don't actually. They throttle them at the
server level.

They also don't tell you when you have hit grey list
limitations so if you do check bounces in AWeber, you won't
see any reason why other then " mailbox can not be reached "
when you run into grey list limitations with your own self hosted
autoresponder you get more info about bounced mail and can
act accordingly. I recommend you do a few mailings with a very
low throttle setting, and build your domain and email reputation first.

It makes sense given the amount of money we send to Get Response every month. Plus the annual fee is much lower too.

And, it will be nicer for us to be able to be the maker of the rules for a change (within reason of course...LOL)

Hello Sumarg.

Yes we install the autoresponder as an add on for you.
No need to upload files, do the install, cron job
and create databases yourself, we do it for you included.

No, you can not buy the scripts seperately.
I take great pride in my autoresponder and letting people buy it seperately
takes away my ability to keep the autoresponder working with the high
delivery rates and ability to get through to inboxes like gmail.

Once scripts are floating out there on the net, they become useless.
Hackers start making alterations to benefit themselves and start giving
their hacked version away for free or use it themselves to scam and spam.

This gives the scripts a bad reputation and email providers can and will
block mail coming from any server using the blacklisted scripts. So....
by letting people buy it seperately it will become abused, altered, sold
without my knowledge, used for spamming, given away for free and
then I can't sell it, and worst of all my good customers would see a drop
in delivery rates because of the script gaining a bad rep. on the net.

I work hard to keep my autoresponder up to date, and working 100%
for all my paying customers. This autoresponder will never be sold
seperately, or it will become one of the already useless cheap or free
autoresponders out there that can't do what it's supposed to.
Deliver mail successfully to as many inboxes as possible for my paying customers.

Hello Sumarg.

We monitor mail activity for spam.
However we are also more flexible then most hosting companies,
and we know that occasional spam complaints are un-avoidable.
It's very easy for us to tell if someone is mailing a list they built
themselves and have permission to send mail to, or if they are
using a bought or scraped list. If a user is spamming, we will
warn them once. If they do it again, their account is terminated.

We are very fair about it, but we can't allow people to spam from
our servers and my autoresponder. So.... be good to your subscribers,
build a good list, don't use software to scrape lists, don't buy lists....
and everything will be great. You will see good results from building
a good list. Using software to scrape or steal emails, or buying a list
is not the way to go. It really doesn't work anymore, and you just
piss off people and get blacklisted. So.... you won't make any money
doing it that way these days anyways.

I can send out an email to 20 of my good customers and make more
money off them then a spammer can mailing 20,000 people.
I help my customers achieve these same results.
So, work with me and I'll be glad to get you
making money with email marketing.

Most of these questions have been answered already.
As for spam complaints I explained we are as flexable as possible
and we know that the odd spam complaint is normal.

We can tell if some one is using a scraped or bought list
that they don't have permission to email. the difference
is very easy to spot on our end. We will warn a customer
if they are getting too many spam complaints, and if continued
your account will be suspended. But we are as flexable as possible.

Don't use scraper software to steal emails from the net, and don't
but email lists. Build a fast list yourself that you are in good communication
with instead, and you'll see way better results with no problems.
Like I said, I can email 20 of my good customers and make more
money off them then a spammer can mailing 20,000 strangers.

Yes, when you use my autoresponder and hosting....

I just got in the office and my email inbox and PM box are over-flowing !

I suppose I was one of his first few hosting clients. Anyway, Jeff's (Vendor-Lock) services have more than met my needs. Sure there were some glitches and bugs at first but he was quick to jump on them and get them squared away really quick. Oh and just so you know, he is correct about emails from his service hitting the inbox better than aweber. I can send out the exact same emails through both Jeff's service and aweber and only the email sent through the Vendor-Lock service hits the inbox every time where as the same email sent through aweber will end up in either the spam or promotions tab. For the price Jeff is offering here this is a no-brainer folks. In fact it's cheaper than what I'm paying.
