I will set a figure at $2 per 300 word article which could be negotiable.

You said cut price but you didn't say how much. For many things being sold you have to hold back the price so people can learn about the offering and see the value first before you stun them with a price. With no perceived value for the product sales can be very difficult.

For article writing though most people understand what value there is and would probably like to know the price up front.

Sounds like you're negotiable but still might want a suggested starting price.

The other thing would be to consider adding a picture and fleshing out your profile. The 3 main tenets of successful selling is prospects are more receptive if they can:
Know you | Like you | Trust you

The internet is even harder because of all the anonymity. Be (or appear to be) a real person and you should do better.
