I need a clarification on the subject.Which one do you think is more effective Digg or Stumbleupon in terms of SEO as well as traffic to the website.

Stumble upon is definitely better for more assured traffic. Although the traffic might have a higher bounce rate than Digg. But digg only gives real traffic when you get pop url (which we do get something; we can get you it if you have the right viral content)

So overall if you got a regular site stumble upon gives great amount of traffic on regular circumstances compared to digg. Digg only gives traffic if you get on their first page list or section list. On a regular digg the traffic doesn't compare to stumble upon.
