Top-Notch Copywriter for Hire: Establish Your Site's Authority & Supercharge Your Sales Pages!
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

Greetings Warriors,

My name is Ashly Lorenzana and I am a freelance copywriter seeking just a few new clients.

I like to partner up with serious marketers who are looking for a long-term business relationship. My specialty is adult-themed content, but I've written for several other markets and consider myself highly versatile.

I am a regular paid contributor on both Dating.com and Slixa.com among several others as well, which is why I probably only have a few open slots for new writing projects.

Right now I am offering my services at approximately $100 per page (roughly 500 words). If you're interested in seeing some samples of my work for past clients, please feel free to review my portfolio which is attached at the end of this thread.

If you'd like to discuss your writing project with me and get a more detailed quote, please contact me via email ashly@ashlylorenzana.com

P.S. I'm also a successful Kindle publisher and have ghostwritten eBooks for a couple warriors in the past. I can do this type of work for you as well, but it will cost you.

Always wanted to be the author of a fiction book but just can't seem to make yourself get it all out on paper? If you have a basic plot, I can write your book for you and you can take all the credit. If interested, get in touch with me and we can talk.

Yes, sorry I forgot to include a couple specific examples.

I wrote the copy for this landing page and I obviously do the copywriting for my own WSO threads. See here and here for a couple examples.

Hope this helps. Also, I'm more than willing to demonstrate my talents on an individual basis, if you'd like to come up with a "test drive," if you will. Just PM me or contact me via email to discuss details.

Thanks for your interest.

Absolutely, I would be happy to write a sales page for a WSO product.

Regretfully, I do not recommend using Ashly's services. I hired her for two projects, and the results were mixed at best. She wrote an email sales letter for the first project, and it was well written, but did not convert. This could be my fault, as maybe I should have explained my needs better than I did. To her credit, she proactively rewrote it, and apologized for the "failure" (her word, not mine). Based on this experience, I thought I had found a professional writer that I could use for years to come. Boy, was I wrong...

For the second project, I needed some professional, WSO-style salescopy written for a new service I am offering. She said no problem, and told me that she would have the first draft to me within a day or so. That was on October 25th. Got a PM on the 28th saying that she would send me a draft tomorrow (the 29th). When did I get the first draft? On the 10th of November. I was frustrated and angry, but she apologized and said it would become a priority, so I believed her. The draft was well written, but not quite what I expected, so I went into full detail of what I needed. She said fine, and told me she would have a second draft to me later that evening. I thought that evening was probably unrealistic, so I was expecting more like 1-2 days. I have not heard from her since, and she has not responded to my PMs, even though she has been online almost every day. Complete waste of 3 weeks, and I could have hired someone else and already had the copy on my site by now.

Needless to say, I have given up on Ashly, and do not recommend using her service, unless you want to work with someone that has no respect for your time, gives inaccurate estimates and does not feel it is important to respond back to you. Very disappointing and frustrating experience :-(

WOW! That's all I can say...

First of all, this person has completely misled everyone by not giving all the details to this story. I offered multiple revisions to the first piece of work I did for them and was given VERY limited information on what the hell it was that they even wanted/needed.

Upon hearing that it didn't produce the desired results, I apologized and when they mentioned another writing project they might need help with, I offered to do it FREE OF CHARGE. They said their website wasn't even up yet, which made it sound non-urgent to say the least.

Since I was offering this as a favor and since they didn't give me any sort of deadline, I didn't put it at the top of my list at that time. Then suddenly, it was something they needed right away. So I wrote an email explaining how busy I had been and overwhelmed I was feeling, so that they knew why it was taking longer than I had hoped.

Again, I was not told much at all about what they wanted me to write the copy for. We're talking a few sentences of vague and somewhat meaningless information that wouldn't have helped even the most experienced copywriter come up with anything at all.

Still, I did my best to work with what was provided and sent it to them. I then received a response telling me that the copy was outstanding, but that it was off base. Well, no shit. You have to explain what the hell your business is offering before I can compose something that will convince people to care about it.

What the hell? Then I didn't get a revision to them quickly enough? This was a favor to begin with and I had explained why it was taking longer than necessary, which I thought was understood because they responded somewhat compassionately when I shared that information.

Personally, I would prefer to just copy and paste all of our private messages on here because they speak for themselves, but I'm not sure that's in line with the forum rules and I still do not wish to compromise the confidential information about this person's project.

Suffice to say that this feedback is complete and utter bull shit.

You are welcome to your opinion Ashly. I came right out and said that I probably didn't offer as much detail as I should have, but that's not even the main problem. Let's review:
  • Any writer I have worked with in the past has asked questions if they had them. Did you ask questions? NO.
  • Did you take 30 seconds and reply back to my PMs so I knew where things were at like most professionals do? NO.
  • Were you on Warrior Forum when I sent most of these PMs? YES.
  • Did you give me 24 hour or less TATs on drafts (your estimate, not mine) and then send one to me a week or later or, in the case of the last draft, not at all? YES.
  • Because of the lack of respect for my time and my project, did I just waste 3 weeks of time on this? YES.

I would also be more than happy to show people my (ignored) PMs. They definitely paint the picture pretty clearly. I totally understand that you probably have several other projects on your plate, but outright ignoring me when I can see that you are currently on the forum? Not cool and not professional. With regards to you doing the project for FREE, that is not what you told me. Your words:

I'd be happy to write you 500 words and we can talk about payment later, once it gets rolling.

That didn't come across as FREE to me (nor did I expect it to be), and I am sure that anyone else that read that would not think it was free either. If I knew that you thought you were doing me a FAVOR (really?!?), then I would have paid up front so my project and business would have meant more to you. I have money sitting in my Paypal account just waiting to pay you once the job was completed.

We obviously have our difference of opinion on how things went down, but I think you know deep down that you dropped the ball. I think the members of WF would have a lot more respect for you if you just owned it - I know I would. I just hope that you take this experience and learn from it, and give future clients the respect and courtesy that they deserve. I never expected my project to be your priority, but a little acknowledgement so I know it is on the horizon would have been nice.

Actually, the other members of the forum have nothing but a great deal of respect for me and the level of quality I offer. In fact, they have had nothing but good things to say about me on here. You are the only one trying to say something negative.

So EVEN if what you were saying was all 100% accurate (which I would argue), it would be no indication of what others could expect as you have been the only person so far who has left anything less than outstanding feedback.

I thought I explained that I was busy and a bit overwhelmed, but apparently that wasn't clear enough.

As for the wasting time, I don't believe it makes sense to blame me for your time being wasted. What was stopping you from simply finding someone who could do it quicker, like you said you could have done? Personally, if someone was taking longer than I had expected and then told me they were incredibly overloaded at the time, I would take the hint and do what I needed to do for my own deadlines, rather than blame that person for MY time being wasted when I could have easily done something about that.

As for being on the forum, I have more than one computer and I often leave my browser open on one or the other, which means I'm logged into the forum MOST OF THE TIME. It does not, however, mean that I am necessarily at that computer or actually viewing the forum at all. That was a huge assumption.

But no worries, since you seem fine with taking it upon yourself to try and trash my thread with crap that is totally questionable, then trust me to post some less than pleasant things about you when you launch YOUR site. I think it's only fair if you're going to try and shit on my success.

Have a nice day.

I thought maybe you would use this opportunity to own up to your mistakes, but instead you chose to make excuses, and then threaten to trash my service (I will make sure to reference this thread when you do). I think this speaks volumes about your reliability, character and professionalism.

With regards to me not looking for another writer, well I guess that is on me. I made the mistake of believing you when you told me you would send me a draft "later that evening" (once again, a quote that you gave me). Part of your job is to be honest with your clients, and if you were too busy, you should have told me so I could move on to someone else. I made the mistake of trusting your word and respecting your time. I didn't want to just move onto someone else and then have you PM me with a draft the next day. That's what people do when they respect the other person's time. All you had to do is say, "My apologies. I thought I had time for your project, but I have a lot on my plate, and do not think I will be able to get to it for another week or so. You might want to go with someone else." Instead, I got strung along with unrealistic quotes, excuses and little to no communication when I asked for an update.

It is obvious that my business wasn't that important to you....or at least that is how it seemed. Despite the disappointing experience that I had, I will say that you have excellent writing skills, and I wish you nothing but the best of luck in the future.

Have a nice day as well...

I have no problem owning up to the lack of promptness on your project. I admit that it took much longer than I had hoped or expected and for that I apologize. The explanation I sent was meant to convey this and obviously if I had not planned on finishing it, I would have simply said so and suggested finding someone else. However, I obviously should have been more realistic with myself about my own schedule and what I could handle at the time I agreed to do this work.
