1. Hold your camera parallel with the surface your signature is written on.

2. Use a solid colored canvas (blank white paper, chalkboard, whiteboard, etc.)

Suggestion #1:

My legal name is Victor Dorfman but I brand myself online as Vic Dorfman, which is what my signature says.

It may seem like a trivial difference, but if you search the 2 names separately on Google, the results suggest that these are 2 entirely different people.

You may wish to do something similar.

Suggestion #2:

Another option is to simply write your signature differently than the way you write it when you sign a restaurant bill, letter or legal document.

This way you can make your online branding unique and personal yet keep it separate from your "real" signature and limit potential issues. :-)
