Canadian With Health Care Experience Seeks Virtual Work

First let me say thanks for reading my post!
I know your time is valuable.
I am seeking part time employment performing online tasks.
Why? I have decided to be a full time stay at home mom as I am expecting :-)

In consideration of your time, let me tell you straight away that
I have a bit of experience blogging, but I am NOT an experienced article writer, wordpress developer etc...
In fact I am new to seeking paid employment for performing strictly online tasks.
I do have a great close friend with huge experience in all of these areas that can guide me when needed and I am a very quick learner.

So what do I bring to the table?

I have health care experience.
If your tasks are related to the health care niche we may be a great fit :-)

To be more accurate I graduated with honors as a personal support worker and have worked briefly caring for the elderly and helping their families cope with various issues. If you would like specifics about the program I completed click here

I am 20 years old.
Why is that a benefit? :-)
I find it strange that so many young people today believe being young is a detriment.
My generation has grown up online. It is in my nature to communicate naturally via social media, email, texting etc.. it is not a struggle, I enjoy it. I also have energy to burn and a stubborn desire to succeed and be recognized.

I have researched this forum for some of the pitfalls of hiring a virtual assistant to complete tasks so that I might identify other less obvious but valuable benefits of working with me. A few I have identified that might be important

- I have a rock solid internet connection (simple but important)
- I am Canadian and speak, read and write English at a college graduate level
- I have an excellent computer and easy access to hardware should I need it.
- I do not need to hold down three jobs while pretending to be working for just you
- I have no issue doing video Skype for an interview or as required
- I have excellent research skills and pick up new things quickly
- I am seeking a long term ongoing working relationship
- Paying me is easy, I am registered with Paypal

In return for providing quality work I ask the following.
We always treat each other with respect and fairness in our dealings.
You exercise some patience and understanding that many tasks may be completely new to me.
You provide a flexible work schedule as I am an expectant mother.

I am very much looking forward to the interesting opportunities that will present themselves. What a great new adventure!

Please reply by PM with your requirements and proposed payment. If we seem to be a good fit we can then discuss the opportunity further.

Hey Shauna - good luck getting responses to your profile...

You may want to start looking into article writing, more specifically articles related to health, weight loss, elderly care or whatever you specialized in.

Also, consider that once you deliver, you will need to take some time off... a lot :)

Hi AMangones

Thanks for the pointers! :-)
I have already secured one new client needing one hour per day of social media and look forward to more. This type of work is ideal as it allows me to perform tasks at anytime of day.

I am one of those people that always has to be doing something, so prolonged time off is not for me.
Seems to run in my family :-)
It's a gift and a curse lol

Re: Canadian With Health Care Experience Seeks Virtual Work

Shortly after Shauna made her post here looking for work, I took a plunge and asked if she would be interested in working for me to help in some social networking tasks. This was over a month ago and she has been very professional and courteous in her posts on my Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Squidoo accounts as well as some others. I gave her somewhat vague and minimal directions but she required no imposing supervision from me and has excellent instincts. She is highly intelligent and personable, and these are skills that a person either has or doesn't, they cannot be taught. I have been very pleased with my rather impulsive decision to put her in this position, representing 2 sites that I have. As she stated or her original post, she is new to the world of internet marketing but not new to the tools. I myself have only been focusing sincerely in IM for a few months myself and continue to learn each day. I spend a fair amount of time in the Warrior Forum, but post only on occasion. I give my full endorsement to Shauna based on her work with me over the last month and would encourage anyone who is looking to have a reasonable and personable presence in some social networking sites or other forums to consider hiring her. Anyone may feel free to PM me or post any questions here within reason and I'll be more than happy to elaborate.
