Need help in finding video tutorials

I have a friend on Facebook who bought a custom theme and was having trouble uploading it to wordpress. I finally asked for the url and just as I thought, she is using Wordpress.com and not wordpress.org and you cannot upload custom themes to wordpress.com.

I have explained how to transfer her files over to wordpress.org but she knows nothing about domain names or hosting accounts and for me to try and explain everything through chat would be exhausting.

would anyone have at their disposal tutorials from buying your domain name, changing your dns servers to installing wordpress from C-panel.

  • I assume you've already told her to purchase her domain name at one provider and her hosting at another?

    Her custom theme might have come with videos to accesss online or a forum she can check; it might also be shown on Youtube videos. She could also check in advance with the hosting provider if they can assist, possibly through a telephone consultation taking her step by step.
  • Yes she has a domain at godaddy and I had told her to choose another hosting provider that offers c panel, I went and found five tutorials, I just thought that someone may have had an all in one video instructions.
