http and https problem

Hi guys,

This is a new problem for me so maybe someone might be able to help me out.

I have an SSL cert on my site which is forced over checkout (using woocommerce).

I can see 2 issues which I have at the moment with the site:

1. when I go to the http version of the site it shows just the blank template, even after clearing the cache etc. if I type in the https version it shows the site fine?
2. Google seems to have indexed my site in the https version? Is this a problem? I began building links to the http version?

  • Force the use of https (as you should) and the problems are gone.You can Google "htaccess force https" for a solution to forcing https.

    Google prefers https these days.

  • If you are registered with SSl certification then your old version HTTP wont work as you said it display only a blank template. clear cookies then try again you will get your site displayed only if you are using HTTPS.
  • have you tried it in a different browser?

    that's because http is still saved on your browser, clear cookies on your browser and try again. this should solve the problem.

    If you try with a different browser you will not have this problem.

    Clear the cookies. ( Google it : clear cookies ( mozilla,ie,chrome ...) )
  • I cleared cookies and even tried on a different machine and it's the same when I input http.

    So should I be redirecting http --> https?

    Also should I link build to the https version now?

    hi,if you use same browser than you face these type of problems related with the http but if you use diffirent than problems are not occur.
