Glitches (I can't figure out what I did wrong)...

1) I tried to embed a google map -- but it seems like I ended up with a *screenshot* of a map, somehow. The map is not "active" -- cannot be zoomed, moved around, etc.

Here's the code I used...

<iframe src="https://www.google.com/maps/embed?pb=!1m14!1m8!1m3!1d238644.35702241398!2d-156.58737762949218!3d20.839051430145176!3m2!1i1024 !2i768!4f13.1!3m3!1m2!1s0x79552bc869196295%3A0x6ed e08973fd2bd86!2s525+Front+St%2C+Lahaina%2C+HI+9676 1!5e0!3m2!1sen!2sus!4v1415489223205" width="400" height="300" frameborder="0" style="border:0"></iframe>

Theme has a "zoom enable" switch, but I DO have that enabled.

2) Video is supposed to autoplay -- which it does, when viewed on a desktop.
But... when video is viewed on a phone, something goes wrong...

a) does not autoplay.
b) when the play triangle is tapped, it just jumps the the actual youtube page with the video on it (does NOT play it within the client's site (as it does when viewed on desktop)
c) When video gets shrunk down (for phone viewing), MASSIVE black borders appear at top and bottom of video (which does not happen when viewed on desktop).

Please advise!!

Thanks!

PS: I'm hoping there are some easy-to-implement solutions. I'm not a WP techie!!!

  • The homepage leads leads to DOMAIN.COM/suspended/contact-tw-immediately/ and the link you gave is located at DOMAIN.COM/willy/ - you have a wordpress install in a subdirectory. You need look at this issue - if you are just trying to get the page working then there's plenty of options available.
  • when you go to the link I posted, you see THIS, right?...

  • The google map is loading properly & is not a screenshot. I think some styling & javascript is conflicting. PM me may be I can fix it. (free)

    • Videos just won't autoplay on mobile devices (both phones and tablets).

I think this is due to the fact that both can be fitted with data plans on sim cards, which will mean an auto-playing video can end up costing quite a bit of money!
