Best Online Forum Script?

Anyone have any input on the best online forum script? The first one that comes to mind is V-Bulletin, though I haven't messed with them in a couple of years. It's for a music niche website so if that helps. I know V-Bulletin isn't free and cost isn't an issue, I expect to have to pay for a decent script and don't want a cookie cutter looking forum. Thanks in advance!

  • vBulletin is hands down the best platform for running a forum. WF is run using vBulletin. I actually ran a music related message board a long time ago and that was on vBulletin. It's still #1. If I were to create a forum today, that's the platform I would choose.

  • well people say phpbb is the best one but Vanilla forum is much user friendly
  • I have used some time ago PHP BB it was very good script to manage as I remember.
