Well it's not like you can just click a button and convert it, there's a lot that is involved with such a task.

The first question... why would you want to do that anyway? Going from Magento to osCommerce or Joomla with one of their extensions is pretty much a downgrade for an ecommerce site. Though, with Joomla, if you wanted to redesign you could use a magento plugin to import your products and information.

I really wouldn't recommend doing that though... What's the problem you're having with Magento?

Would ask the same, what is the problem with magento?

I wouldn't call going to oscommerce a downgrade, it is a rock solid cart. I've been using it for over 7 years without fail. Only time I've had trouble was because of a hosting issue.

With that said, I wouldn't recommend it as something to switch to, or something to start with. I use it because it was the best at the time. Reason I don't recommend it is that it's a little behind the times and out of the box it's not exactly what most people want. That means you need to add mods and with this cart, that means editing code, and the more you add, the more it gets complicated. Took me like a month to get everything on it and working that I wanted. Also it's not as easy to upgrade, less easy when you have mods added.

These days I would go with wordpress and woocommerce. It's what I am going to switch to. With this set up it's so easy to change the layout, add functionality and more. Just matter of uploading a theme or a plugin and activating, no code editing needed. Plus there are SO many woocommerce plugins.

Seems I've seen plugins that will import magento into woocommerce.

    Just my two cents

You're going to be hearing more of this in the coming months. Rumor has it that magento is discontinuing support on their lower end product in February. The other half of the battle will be re-integrating whatever solution you with with your CRM. PM me for my recommendation.
