  • I usually edit my theme, so I have not looked for plugins like that.

    But a simple search at wordpress, shows a few:

    • Yeah I tried searching Google and tried about 3 or4 with high ratings, but I guess they don't work on this version of Wordpress. I was hoping someone knew of one that was working. I forgot about editing the individual templates, I was adding a snipet of code to the css file for ages that it slipped my mind (what's left of it anyway...age )
  • Ya, sure can be a pain to find plug-ins that work. Been there SO many times. I only know one that works for sure, but it's Genesis theme specific, Genesis Simple Edits. Only one I've used, like I said, I usually just edit the template, but guess I got lazy this time. Plus Genesis can be a learning curve.

    But ya, if your comfortable edit the theme's php files, that is a permanent fix. Should only need to edit one or two files, think usually home, or post. Depends on the theme.
  • There's absolutely no reason why you'd need a plugin for this. Just add a few lines of code and boom it's fixed forever. Don't really see what the problem is. Otherwise, just pay someone a few dollars to do it for you.
  • In the future you might consider using a WordPress Child Theme, so you could edit one file in the child theme instead of editing WordPress and/or the WordPress theme. I use PlanetStarta (.com) child themes and change yes to no in the appropriate file for things like display date, time, etc. Also, I can select yes or no on individual pages, individual posts, etc.

    On all of the sites I sell I first create a basic master child theme, so I only need to install a theme once with all of the custom settings, and develop the theme as I go forward. Saves a lot of work.

    Jeffery 100% :-)

    • I've been adding this at the very end of the css.php file for ages that I got all bent out of shape when for some reason it didn't work. Strangely enough the theme I used today worked. Might have just been my browser acting up again, coulda swore it didn't yesterday (maybe it's my age ). Yeah some of the themes I use has that date removal option.

      .entry-meta {display:none}
      .sticky .entry-meta{display:none;}

      Thanks
