Experimenting with a new idea - need opinions

I'm designing a wordpress site to look and feel like a shopping mall, still in the works but was wondering if it makes sense. I will make a tutorial walk-through that will popup for visitors but for now you just need to put your mouse over the pulsing items. Ignore the store names, its temporary. Here's the link to the category section http://starrmall.com/cyber-mall/stores/

Idea is to have people signup and add products to a storefront of their own, I have a sample under Armani -> put the mouse over the socks&bra picture. I want to charge them a monthly fee but not sure how much....I need monetization ideas for this site

    I find it quite confusing.

Some of the pulsing dots appear to do nothing. Are you supposed to click on them?

Also, how do you navigate between the stores? I was briefly able to see the next store but had no idea what sequence was used to get to it.

The store images scroll to the side, that's why it's confusing. I know the side scrolling is a new thing and it might be cool, but how many of your visitors will know how to get around? Like Peter was already confused.

Instead of a monthly fee, what about a percentage of sales? That's how most places do it. If that is even possible. Better for the seller as they don't pay anything unless they make a sale. Course might not be the best for you if people don't make sales, where a monthly fee would be more stable for you, well, could be. Guess it depends if your site will do the payment processing or if the sellers have to set that up.

Course, one thing to think about, since it looks like physical goods, you might get some bad sellers and you might get stuck for the bill. Just a thought. Hate to be negative, but too many scammers out there these days.

Yes I'll need to find a way to make it easy to understand that they must scroll left or right to view the storefronts. I'll think over the percentage of sale and monthly fee...will see which is best
