Hey guys, so upon your suggestions, i need to build a list...

Ive just read the thread by Jeff Lenney "How to make $10,000 Per day FAST - Step by Step"

And im going to promote and affiliate product.

I believe the product i going to attempt to promote is quite popular? THE TAO OF BADASS?
Its a dating product...

So ive just created a background for my squeeze page...

My question is...

What theme, in you guys opinions would be the best wordpress theme to display the background? do you know of any that will provide the least obstruction to the background? I dont want headers or logos obstructing the page...

*in the image ive given an example on how id like the opt in form to be placed*

      I personally use OptimizePress, and I am really satisfied with it. It not only creates my front-end pages, but it helps me to create my back-end.

      LeadPages is another great tool I see top marketers use (I personally haven't tried it.) but the biggest benefit I think it has is that you can get the html/css code without needing to have a WordPress site. (WordPress takes more time to load) which is vital for *bounce rate of the page.

      So, if you just want to have a squeeze page and a thank you page, then LeadPages will do the work for you. The downside is that you can only get it by paying monthly for it compared to OptimizePress, which is a one time payment.

      *bounce rate: the percentage of people who leave the website without taking any action on it.

        Your first option to find such a squeeze page is to google "free squeeze page template" or something like it.

        You second option is to search here on the Warrior Forum for a wso that offers such templates. Downside is that it is paid, but it is not expensive (5-10 bucks).

        Once you find template you will need someone to make the correct settings for you and install it on your hosting and domain name.

        Shortly, you cannot start with 0 budget. You need 2/3 bucks for domain, 10 bucks for hosting and 10 bucks for squeeze page setup service if you find the theme for free.

          Do you need to go with Wordpress?

          There are alternatives like Unbounce and LeadPages that have some awesome templates!

    Thank you for asking. I had on my to-do list to learn how to do just what you want.

    It really isn't very difficult, but it took some working out for me.

    In my example, I used an old PLR website with an existing squeeze page. I chose one without a .css file to be simple. If you need the css file, you may need to change its name and experiment as to where to find it to get it to work.

    The first thing I did was copy the index.htm to a file called buckpage.php.

    Next I edited buckpage.php and added
    Code:
    <?php /* Template Name: BuckPage */ ?>
    at the very top of the page.

    I saved the .php file and uploaded it to mydomain.com/wp-content/themes/flexibility3/buckpage.php (Flex3 is my theme)

    In the WP Dashboard, I clicked on Pages|Add New
    Title: Test Page

    In the right column, under "Page Attributes|Template" I chose "BuckPage".

    I scrolled back up and under "Publish" clicked "Preview"

    When I tested it, I had no images. So I uploaded all the images to the wordpress media area. Drag-n-drop! It was easy.

    Next, I did a search and replace to change all the image locations in the php file
    Code:
    <body background="/images/background.jpg" bgcolor="#FFFFFF" text="#000000" link="#0000FF" vlink="#0000FF" alink="#0000FF" style="color: #000000; font-family: Arial">
    Before

    Code:
    <body background="wp-content/uploads/2015/01/background.jpg" bgcolor="#FFFFFF" text="#000000" link="#0000FF" vlink="#0000FF" alink="#0000FF" style="color: #000000; font-family: Arial">
    After
    That did the trick!

    This is a picture of my blog page

    In order to create additional pages, you will have to create a new template for each one. This template comes up under the blogname.com/test-page. Since a page can be selected as the default landing page, you can now use wordpress to manage your squeeze, upsells, thank you, and download pages.

    Sorry if I baby-stepped you. I am hoping newbies will also be able to use this feature.

    I hope this helps.

    Make your wordpress landing page a static page:

    From the dashboard, select "Settings|Reading"
    Under "Front page displays" Select "A static page (select below)
    I chose "Test Page"
    My blog now comes up with the squeeze page when I enter blogname.com ("blogname" being fictitious, of course)

    Now if I can only come up with a way to split test the landing page.....

    You can use WP Profit Builder plugin for Wordpress. And if you need a hosted solution, then you can check out landingpagemonkey.com or 1minutesites.com.

    And that doesn't put you off?! You want to promote something that many hundreds of other affiliates with more experience than you are already promoting?! (It's a mistake I also made when I started. I made some money only when I corrected it.)
