Need some ideas to spice up website.

I'm creating a wordpress review site. Right now it's basically a custom header, and image of myself, and my review text. I'm looking for some simple ideas on how to make my site more visually stimulating. Any ideas? Thanks.

Create some custom Call to Action buttons, add some JS feature when your website loading, Do not over optimize with JS plugins.
