    For starters, I would add more content. Explain a little deeper what the benefits of signing up are. Second I would add the sign up form on the right and above-the-fold. Lastly I would make sure to A/B test.

    Your logo panel is 20% of the vertical space of your entire site. is your logo really that important? your logo is larger than your optin form. LOL

    Very huge space dedicated for logo. Don't understand the reason behind such a magnification of it. Otherwise its cool.

    Here are my thoughts on the website.

    1. As soon as I see the website I don't feel what is the purpose of the website. Try to be more descriptive on your home page so that people understand that your website is a social network for writers. I know you have written there, but it doesn't make any impact to me.

    2. There is no need to have a big image just for Logo... Too much of space for it. I would recommend you to better include home page slider with three or more images which makes impact on readers and help them understand the purpose of your website and why they should also join it.

    3.You have navigation bar but it doesn't contain major important menus. Like Contact us, About us, What we do, who we are, your top writers?, your popular books? May be you should include such menus so that user is able to navigate from one place to another. From what I see in the website design now, you just have a login form on the navigation bar.

    Your front page here looks good. Nice and clean. But I agree with some of the other replies here, you need to put in a bit more content on the page. Tell the visitor exactly what your site is about and the benefits of becoming a member.

    I would also start capturing emails and building up an email list for it. This way you can keep people coming back to your site.

    You already have a good start with this page. You already have a good layout going on. I just feel that the website is a little empty. Looking at the landing page as a potential users, its a little confusing. It didn't really explain why i should sign up or something.
