Hi,

Me and 5 other people recently launched our new website 9Pear. Any tips on how we can improve our design and make this a new hit?

    1. your header + top menu is not responsive, even if the down part it is. fix this
    2. use a different color for the links in the footer, they need better contrast.
    3. social media links? where are they? Your fb, twitter pages
    4. your website loads hard. You need some caching + minify . and optimize the images
    5. my tools can't find a sitemap for your website. if you don't have one, get one
    6. you should have a blog or a forum where people can discuss and you can give announcements regarding your website.

Not all design tips, but won't hurt you either.
    Hope this helps, good luck

Hi and congratulations on your new site. Not really a design feedback, but more copywriting. A web visitor wants to see immediately what you website is about. I need to understand it in one glance, so perhaps look at the copy on your homepage slideshow, and make this clearer. I had to go to 'how it works' to figure it out. Also the website needs to attract buyers and sellers qually, so my main tip is to use the main slidershow a lot stronger. I hope this helps.

Congratulations on getting your site up and running!

The only part of the site I see that is responsive is the slider/carousel. You can either change the behavior of the slider/carousel, or make the whole site responsive. Making the site responsive would make for a better user experience especially on tablets and smart phones.

I also agree with the contrast of the links in the footer, for hover only, and adding an explanation of what the site is about on the home page.

The main change I would make is in the navigation bar. It's too cluttered, with no defined separation. Maybe you can broaden the categories to decrease the amount of links. If that's not possible maybe a design change would work. You could try using tabs, or two rows, with the active page tab being in a different color.
