Feedback to my beloved project

Hey,

I am working on this website for quite some time now (1-2 months).
It is my first website but I am really into tennis and I'd love to have a sucessfull blog where I can leave my thoughts and everything else related to tennis.

I would also love to get some feedback from you guys to the design of the page (simply everything you can see on it, from the logo to typo, etc.).
Especially negative aspects are welcomed.

    if I have to sign up for your newsletter right off the bat to see your site, I bounce. you might want to correct that. or at the very least give me an option to get past it.

    From what I could see... it looked ok.

      Agree. "Subscribe" should not to be so annoying.

      Normally there should be an "X" and "close" on the top right. So I take this as something I have to work on

      Would you mind having another look after closing the pop up?

    There was a n "X" on the opt-in box for me.

    I agree, the site looks real good. Professional and seemed to load pretty quick.

    This might be a personal choice, but I would rather see the items under "categories" listed out, instead of in a drop down. Just think it would be better navigation, easier for people to move around, since you don't have a sidebar on most every page. Might even bump up the font size for top menu, seems a little on the small size.

    Really need social buttons for every post, for every piece of content. You want them to be able to share every page you have, not just follow the main site. Could make a huge difference on the social networks and end up improving search engine ranks.

    Some pictures are awful big to me. Like the one on the running solves.. page.

    Most important, UNLINK your images. It does nothing for your site, and only going to confuse and throw off your visitors.

    Just my opinions

      It became really hard for me to rate the design of my own site since I'm looking at it so many times.

      You mean something like a small image and some text next to it?

      Yea, you're right. I have grown my facebook size a lot in the last days.
      Do you think thatsocial buttons on the start of the post and at the end are too much? Maybe just on the end?

    Most important Loading time is too High right now you have to work on that as well ..

    Everything I found that needed to be addressed has already been cover in previous posts, with the exception of content. When it comes to site ranking, pictures and videos are great, but I still think "content is king." Most pages are lacking content, but all-in-all the site looks great.

    Tennis side note: I got to meet Olympian, Mary Jo Fernandez, when my wife was teaching her son in third grade. Mary Jo won seven WTA singles titles, two Grand Slam doubles titles and three Olympic medals. Maybe you can add her to your site.

    Everything looks good .

    The email list pop-up was fairly difficult to get past.

    Additionally I don't know if this is your intention regarding this particular project, but even after being on the site for 5 mins, I still didn't know exactly what it was about
