      I agree with matt on this one.
      For a betting website, you probably need more than just installing a script, hire a programmer and explain what your website needs. You can still use wordpress though, anything can be implemented in wordpress.

    try Magento. its a bit complicated then wordpress but its more useful then wordpress and its the CMS of future. it has alot more features then wordpress.

    Joomla by far is the most powerful CMS on the planet where wordpress is the more popular CMS on the planet.

    Wordpress was easier to learn from an admin point of view where joomla was harder to learn from an admin point of view. but now both are easy. Still joomla had the edge due to its easier to use front end editing option. Still does in my opinion.

    Joomla has the edge on back end organization and customizing of templates and modules easily. and also has the edge on it's front end easy to use babyfood editor. In other words, the client can login and make edits right on the front end of the website easily (module positions and content areas) it's as easy as clicking an edit icon and something like a word doc opens up and you make your edit and click save... done.

    Once you have used both in depth... once you go Joomla, you can never go back.

    Hi, My personal Opinion Wordpress is the best.. it is easy to maintenance and have many resources for it.. if you do not need more then 1000 products for your shop you can easily use it.

    As a developer I prefer to use Wordpress as a CMS, and have had really good results using it for most projects, it's very well documented and easy to write custom plugins for. I didn't enjoy CMSMS at all, I dislike Drupal and have heard other say the same. Expression Engine has good potential but it is not free for commercial use. Joomla is probably a good bet; you don't have to install every plugin that Tom and Dick did.

    It is a question that is difficult to really answer without knowing more about what the website is going to be like, and who is going to maintain it. Each of them has a particular talent that makes them more suitable for different applications. Plugins and good documentation generally make any CMS easier to deal with, so make sure that you're comfortable with the adoption rate of the CMS you choose, as more developers working with it are going to make information easier to get.

    Do not use dreamweaver.

      With a CMS you get at least some level of support, and constant updates to the system core. You've got a foundation that takes care some of the generic stuff that's pretty easy to get wrong, such as database structures and authentication. Maybe a development platform would be another good idea to investigate, but in any case I would not go all custom.
