Wordpress Header & Footer within Forum

I started a new website project last month using Wordpress and the site is gaining traction however I want to start growing user engagement via a forum.

Looking to use the Wordpress header and footer for the forum.

I run a vBulletin forum (3.8) on another site however I have ruled out using vBulletin for this project. MyBB is an option I am considering.

Has anyone done this successfully and flawlessly, I have searched all day and saw various integration plugins but most with flaws, negative feedback etc...

    There are some plugins to allow users to use same login information for both WordPress and external forum scripts, but otherwise, everything is separate.
    You would need to modify the forum script to achive what you want.

    I think a better alternative would be bbpress.Yes I know, it doesn't have the most pleasant aspect and functions, but I think it's the best alternative so far if you want to fully integrate your forum with WordPress.

      Yeah I'm not going to use bbpress, its far too limited to what I'm use to.

      I had a look and happened to find a spare vBulletin licence I had so I'm going to use 3.8.8

      Don't need full integration ie. comments on vb and wp, just need the wordpress header and footer showing in vBulletin.

      Anyone knows of a working plugin or method for this?
