What to put on right sidebar for wordpress blog?

Hi warriors,

I have a wordpress blog and right now I dont know what to include in my right column widget.

I listed all categories as the main menu on the header.

Can someone please guide me on this?

    I think here's huge of things that you can put in Blog Sidebar like:

    - FB Like Box
    - Your Social Profile Links
    - Ads
    - Opt-in form for getting customer emails etc

    use the "full width" page format and don't use a side bar at all. in the page edit screen on the right side you will see page options, you can make that adjustment there.

      Interesting idea there. I have seen a few blogs that use this option.

      However, what are the pros and cons for applying this option?

        What are the pros and cons of a bunch of blank space on your site?

        If there is a NEED for a section of a wordpress site by all means use it.. but if you have the ability ( in this case you do ) to remove an unused section, then by all means do it.

        I don't think there is a pro or con..it is a matter of how you use the space. filling it in with nothing of use just to fill it in just does not make sense.

    I would suggest an email signup box and some of your most popular content. BUT... if it takes away from the main content and people get distracted, then yes get rid of it! Just because every blog has a right sidebar doesnt mean you have to!
