Your opinion and advice is of great value to me on my landing page. I'm creating an accounting and CRM service for the MLM niche and this is my first try: NMBM.

I am really trying to improve and grow so whatever wisdom you can share with me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

    My two cents:

There is a lot of black and white, and a lot of text. People would prefer to read a few bullet points or headers to get the gist of what you are saying, rather than reading even a few paragraphs of content.

It wasn't until I scrolled down to the middle section that I realized what your service is. I would focus the top area more on the fact that you provide a way for companies to manage their paperwork (accounting and prospects).

Liven up the page with something. Images, graphics, etc. It looks like a book, and that doesn't fly in today's web. Also, I'd consider changing your favicon to just one "N" box, rather than the entire logo. It's tough to tell exactly what it is.

    Hope this helps!

  • Had a quick look at the site as there is nowhere near enough information to get anyone to sign up. What is Network Business Manager? Is it a software product? If so, is it downloadable software? Is it a SAAS? Is it an ebook? The site is just incredibly, unbelievably vague. Here's a simple test. Get a friend or family member that doesn't know about it to look at the site for 5 minutes and get them to tell you what it is that you are selling. Don't stand over them or prompt them.

At the moment you don't appear to be selling anything. If it is a software product you need to explain this explicitly so that visitor understand. You need screenshots and videos that showcase the benefits and features of the software. If it's a download you need to explain what it runs on and what the system requirements are. These are the unanswered question that will be running though the heads of anyone thinking of signing up.

Part of the function of a sales page it to remove barriers that prevent visitors from completing the desired action. In this case you want them to sign up so you can email them when the product is ready. Therefore you need to supply far more information about what the product is. At the moment the site is one giant barrier that will actively prevent anyone from signing up. Visitors will probably assume that the site is only online to harvest email addresses, as the product details are so very, very vague they suggest vaporware.

I would say you should choose better color than the current one and have better navigation for the users too

There are 2 basic types of landing page, Click Through and Lead Generation
1.Click Through : Click through landing pages have the goal of persuading the visitor to click through to another page
2.Lead Generation : Lead gen pages are used to capture user data, such as a name and email address

After taking a quick look I personally feel what it lacks right now is colour. You seem to have just focused on black and white which yes is good but also is plain. You need something that grabs the visitors eyes and makes them want to look more. I would definitely look into adding some colour to help it stand out more.

I agree with thedailyalbum, there is too much text, people will probably not stop to read all of it and they might get bored and leave. Summarize it the best way you can.
You could use some color too. Create or use some colorful images, you do have those colored backgrounds as you scroll down the page, but the first impression (aka, what the user will see first) is what really counts.

Wow, major thanks to all of you that replied. This has given me a definite action list.

Guys, what usually happens to these threads? Do most people get feedback and abandon them?

I want to improve what I've got. When I'm done do I post the update here or start a new thread.

the design is good. responsive is always nice. but i agree like others: your colors, you need to change that.

i also find it difficult to find my away around without navigations. and i see you don't have any other page other than 'forcing' someone to signup first. make more pages to describe each.

Thanks for the feedback. I definitely redesigning the colors. My question is for you about the 'forcing' part. This page is dedicated to getting as a pre-registration for a product that isn't ready yet. I'm wondering if you understood that part because I don't have any other pages or content to offer.

I've read some blogs from internet entrepreneurs (Rob Walling, Eric Ries) about the concept of a landing page. Specifically Eric talks about spending thousands of dollars and hours on a product that nobody wanted and says that if he would have just spent 10 hours on a landing/sign up page he would have known the product was not worth it. What are your thoughts on this?

what i meant was if your site is not having that much page yet, you will just get a high bounce rate. the reason for this is because you don't have more pages to explain what you said in your landing page.

to address this issue, you need to have more pages, or do an intensive marketing both offline and online to describe more of your upcoming product. you can also put more information on your current landing page, but that would make it overwhelming to read.

email is a sensitive thing. especially in today's spam world. without sufficient information given, online or offline, it would be difficult to have people giving their emails willingly.

because the point of having your current landing page is to get people to sign up, a high bounce rate will make your page not worth your efforts.

Ok great, I totally get in now.

I do have a blog started which I'm posting to about once a month. I will add the link to my site. I also have a FB page which I just created which will need some design and touch ups.

Thanks for the tips and information
