Advice on starting a WordPress site to act as a digital resume.

I am looking to start a WordPress site that would complement my resume.


I'm a recent graduate looking to land a job doing marketing for a brick and mortar organization. I have been looking now for over three years with no real luck. It seems to me that starting a website that would extend my brand could be extremely beneficial.


I want to use WordPress because it is one of the more popular content management systems, and from what I have seen, employers are looking for people who have WordPress experience.


I'm looking for a theme that is menubar driven. I would like the site to have four or five pages/options on the menubar. I have tried several different themes and two different page building programs. I haven't been able to get anywhere.


I would like to use WordPress, but primarily I am looking for a free or very cheap page building system that will allow me to make a professional page which can be updated easily.


I have difficulty typing and use voice recognition. Hand coding is out of the question.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
