Hi Warriors,

Could I please have your opinion or first impressions of my website. This is a site where I sell electronic cigarette starter kits. It is predominantly for people in New Zealand. I have quite a few first page rankings in Google NZ but I fear my conversions could be better, so I am especially wanting feedback on how enticing it is to make an order.. If you were looking to buy an e-cigarette or considering it, would you order anything from my site?

    Is it a shop or a blog? My first impression was "where are the products". These should be front and centre above the fold. If visitors have to go hunting to find your products, you're doing it wrong.

    The other issues is the quality of your images. It looks like these have been saved as very low quality jpegs. The design of them isn't great either. To much sloping text, which look half arsed and slapped together. This detracts from the professionalism of the site.

    Also there doesn't appear to be any SSL on the site. This is now utterly crucial for on-line stores as Google now reward HTTPS everywhere sites in the serps. The little padlock in the address bar adds a lot of trust to a site, as it represents a barrier to entry and makes you look like a serious business.

      thanks for your feedback, can you tell me which images you are referring to? do you mean the header banner or the slider pics?

      I guess you mean the slider pics, i was trying to be creative, ohh well that didnt work, and I have made them less pixels so I could get the site to load quicker.. so am worried if i mmake the quality too high the site will load slow

        For JPEG's your only looking at a few extra K per image for a significant increase in quality. However, you might want to try using optimised .png images https://tinypng.com/. Site loading speed is a ranking factor. However, if you place too much weight on this, you will end up with a site that doesn't convert well.

    i think banner type logo is not looking professional. Background behind background should be changed. Slider banners can be made more attractive and professional looking. Try to remove text shadow on menu anchors. I think white will look good on hover and non hover state. Font family don't look good on sidebar. All in all it is still look good but definitely need some improvement.
