I just redesigned my resume template website. What do you think?

Convince me that I want your service as opposed to your competitors' services BEFORE you hit me with a popover offering a discount. Also I don't like the shades of blue that you are using.

It's looks to be a generic WordPress theme.
To me, the style says "female" (weddings, cooking, flowers, etc) more than anything else.

The header text on a wide screen bleeds into the black part of the background image making it very hard to read.

Also, I hate sites that bombard you with a popover before I've even had a chance to see what the site is all about.

@kpmedia The theme is a premium WP theme, and is heavily customized. Shame it still looks generic to you but I understand your point. The style is indeed a bit 'femalish'. Most of my customers are female so that's why I chose a more female design.

I would just change the advice section:
The text on the end of the section is to cluttered for my taste. Increase line-height maybe.

A few things:
1) there seems to be a lot of empty white space at the top

2) I agree with rhinocl the light color combination of light blue & white plus gray is not quite what I was looking for. I would expect colors that are strong maybe dark blue

3) the main header image -- its hard to see that resume. Post a better picture of a great looking resume and convince the visitors that these are amazing looking resumes. (maybe before after pictures if possible?)

4) IMO I would actually get rid of the header image and replace with the featured area and see if that helps. (Also make that featured text more bold not light.)

Thanks for your constructive feedback. I definitely agree on the main header image. Working on that. I'm also thinking of changing the color combination a bit. Don't agree on the whitespace though. If you make it less the round logo will look strange.

I would change the color of those testimonials. It's dark font on somewhat dark background. Consider lighter color font, increase font size too. Looks a lot better then the first edition that I saw but I'm still not a fan of the light color scheme.
