I'm building my first website.

I've noticed that the free sites seem to have cheesy/corny pictures. I know it is probably a case of getting what you pay for. But, I don't have a lot of money to invest in this project.

Can anyone recommend good sites or methods of getting good pictures that are free or cheap.

Every picture in there is $1. I used this website a lot of times and the funny thing is that you also find pictures which are on shutterstock for a lot more $$$.

You can give depositphotos.com a look as well. They have a huge database,and you can get anything for a buck.

It depends on what kind of images you're looking for. Unsplash has some great HD free landscape photos with a little bit of hipsterish vibe.

Shutterstock and Pixabay are two such websites that I prefer using images for my blog posts. Till now I have got a meaningful set of pictures.
