How much would an advanced social media website cost?

If anybody is experience in web development, can you let me know how much would it cost me to get a social media website code and design that includes user profiles, public pages, and live chat.

I know that I need to provide very specific information to get a specific quote, but I just want a rough estimate.

I have 3 firms in mind, but I want to make sure my estimated budget is around what I should be asking for.

    Write a detailed RFP (Request For Proposal) to get the most accurate quote.

    Lastly, don't throw high random figures as you quickly will have vultures surrounding you.

    Now before you go spend thousands of dollars, make sure you test your idea and get a proof of concept first. Consider launching a minimum viable product with the most basic features. And I also recommend reading this article "choosing a development team for your startup"
