please help!!! my site went blank and i dont know who

i cant get onto my site admin or my site whatsoever!.. i accidentilaly edited something on the themes.php file and all of a sudden my site is blank and i cant even get into admin.?? please help me i am worried .... i forgot who my cpanal is.. my site is http davidalees com
if you type it in, you will see what i am talking about..:confused:


i cant even start to replace any files because i cant even get onto my admin. no one can as of now. when you type in my site

http davidalees com /wp- admin/ , the same thing happens? i am really nervous that i lost my site for good. all i did was a simple little edit on the themes.php and then this happened.
but, it allowed me (10 hours ago) to click the back button and correct my error which i did, then i pressed update and everything went blank. i then cleared cache and now i cannot even get to any page at all. please, any suggestions??????? please respond to this forum or my email at ulji @ hotmail com

        Get a copy of cuteftp. trial is fine

        FTP software by GlobalSCAPE

        Look for the welcome email from your host where they give your ftp login and password.

        Setup cuteftp (using this information) and connect to your site and see whats on your site. I am betting everything is still there and that you just have an error on the page that you were working on with which is stopping everything from showing. Most hosts will not mess with your files so you probably will be on your own.

        When you find the page replace it (is it a wordpress file form a theme?) from whatever source you originally got the file from.

        Then get a piece of paper and a pen and write 50 times

        I am not writing this to put you down but I am seeing this quite often on this forum from several people and its a VER BAD practice that a long time ago I found myself doing. IF you want to save yourself from insanity you MUST learn how to use an FTP program (preferably with a built in editor) so you can backup and edit with undo (both). The right FTP program is no harder to work with than Wordpress admin and if your page ever goes blank again you just drag the file from where you backed it up back to your server and voila! disaster and mayhem averted.

    Yes It would appear your FTP is working. I connected as far as I could without a username and password. wee you working with more than just the file you call themes.php (what file is that?).

      thank you so much for your help thus far. believe me, when i do get this fixed, i will never ever ever edit in a browser again. i will learn ftp and do this the right way. now, i did find my username and password for both filezilla and core ftp.
      do you mind if i email it to you? i just need your email if you do not mind instead of broadcasting it on this forum.
