open cart issues!!

Can anyone explain why open cart will not add the correct shipping charge to the cart. Say I put in £5 as flat rate shipping in the back end why would it add £3.41 in the front end at the checkout? Also if I create a voucher code to discount 10 percent off the final cart it also would spit out some random number. Would appreciate advice on this one as I don't fancy paying a developer £££££ for something that may be a simple fix.

  • It sounds like it's automatically calculating shipping based on the shipping distance and size.

    You're probably setting a "flat rate" for the item, but somehow it's using automated calculations instead. I've never used open cart through, so unable to offer more advice than that.

    As per my opinion, it is the multiple options issues. May you are using a flat rate, price based shipping and free shipping module at a time. Try once after disabling flat rate option.
    And for the second question.... I am also searching answer for the same.. reply if you got solution.
