disallow indexing thumbnail image

I want disallow indexing thumbnail image in google image, In my wordpress blog.

Yeah! I have best way do do that, but it's on old,
see:
Disallow: /wp-content/uploads/*140x84.jpg$
In robots.txt

But now i have many sub-folders in wp-content/uploads

So! what i do now?

  • make all images in one folder For example (Folder Name : blog image) and create a one htaccess file to that folder and write below comment

    Do you understand my purpose?

    I have many sub-folders in wp-content/uploads
    Also, I want disallow indexing one size (thumbnails) not all jpeg's or gif's ..etc.

    • Don't think that will be possible. You can disallow a directory and all sub directories in it, or disallow a sub directory, or disallow an image type. To do what you want, you would need to move all of your thumbnails to a directory of their own and disallow it. That is the only way I know of to do it.
