I belong to a yachting club here in Brisbane Australia - I have volunteered to help them with their website which has just been re-done. The Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron, Manly, QLD

I know what I need to do for content - etc. but what is really bothering me is the structure of the site - I have built hundreds of sites with wordpress but have never seen one like this menu structure and page layouts. Working through the menu seems difficult to me.

I would love any input as I just can't seem to put my finger on what is wrong with the way the site "works" but I am not sure if it's just me, the URLs seem awkward and I have a feeling it will be more difficult to do any decent SEO until this is worked out.

PS... this is NOT a trick to drive traffic to the site - I need someone else's opinion! Please!!

    I just viewed source of main page - they actively use JQuery library and this menu seems to be additional Javascript and JQuery integration to their custom theme named "rqys"

    i think you can remove the top contact us... since you already have another contact us link in the center and another one at the bottom

    another one is... will you think is better to keep menu to one side rather than both left and right?

      Yes, it does seem confusing to have the menus on both sides, and they work in a funny way in that you have to scroll very carefully otherwise you loose the menu and it flips to another level.
