Should I allow adult content?

I hope this is the best place to post this. I also know this is mostly a personal preference but i would like to see what the general opinion is.

I am building a premium social share website geared towards people who want to make money online, entrepreneurs, affiliate marketers, etc.

I am wondering if allowing adult content and leaving it up to the members to filter it or block it all together will be better for the business.

There are people that like to make money in the adult niche , If you can show someone how to make money in that niche then why not add it. If you just want to add banners to porn sites then you may just want to leave that off your site..

As long as you understand members may simply go elsewhere. In my experience, if you allow adult content/links/ads your site will be viewed as an "adult related" site. That can limit where you can advertise, what sites are willing to link to you, etc.

It may be there is a need for an adult social share site. I do think if adult is allowed, that is what the site will end up being....unless you can create an entirely separate area of the site devoted to the adult sector.

Dear April: I don't want any trouble from you.
January was long, February was iffy, March was a freaking dumpster fire.
So sit down, be quiet, and don't touch anything.

Extract this setting to user account, so then include it to specific adult material wanted user.

Have the option for members if they want to see adult content or not. Similar with YouTube's preferences.

I agree with Kay. As soon as you let adult content in, you have an adult site. And how many marketers are going to want to be around that content?

I don't think it's a good idea at all. Also, like said, you'll have less link opportunities.
