Where can I get photos/videos of the products I promote for my blog?

Hi everyone,

I need to get photographs/videos to go with my reviews of electronic products. Does anyone know how I can get these photos/videos? If for example I join the Sony affiliate programme would they provide me with them? I will appreciate fellow Warriors advice.

    I believe most affiliate programs will provide you with the necessary videos and photos. They also have "terms of use" policies, which are important to follow. However, if you're just looking for some generic photos and videos, I suggest looking at fotolia.com. They have an excellent selection.

      Thanks for your information. I will have to sign up to affiliate programmes then. I have checked fotolia.com and there's not a lot of what I am looking for. Hopefully there is another resource out there I can use.

      I always go straight to the manufacturer of a product and ask for permission to use their graphics. Explain you will be using them to promote their products and make sure you keep their written permission in a safe place.

      Sometimes if it's a very popular product, it may be a good idea to purchase it yourself and take your own photographs and maybe create a video with you using the product. This will set you apart from 99.9% of others promoting it.

    Many affiliates will have images that you can use within their affiliate program. Avoid using images from Google, even if they are marked for re-use as you could be breaching the terms of the affiliate program agreement. Your best bet is to contact your affiliate manager.
