Hi friends,

I have newly started a business and would like to expand it and increase its presence globally...so got some suggestions as need to build a website and promote online...i have zero knowledge in technology...can anyone please suggest how to go about it and succeed

    You can do it yourself or hire a web designer...There are many of us here at the forum.

    You need professional website designing and development services because doing online business is not an easy job, especially when you don't have too much knowledge in technology.

    Get in touch with a local web designer in your area and see what they can do for you. If you can't find any reasonable designer, head over to upwork.com and hire someone from that site.

    Have you done research? Before starting you should have answer to all these questions:

    1. What you're going to promote?
    2. What your target audience will be?
    3. Do people really want the product/service you're going to offer?
    4. Should you really go globally or some specific regions?

    After all these, comes the website designing and development phase. You can hire a reputable company for this task and you just need to check these three things for a good web development company:

    1. Check their previous work
    2. Contact them through website form and check response time
    3. Brief them about your project and get a quote

    A good web development company will have a pretty clear stance on all these things. They will provide you URLs of the websites they've worked for, they'll be good in response time, and of course they will not going to hide any charges in their quote and they'll be very clear in the quotation.

    There are many web developers like me on the forum or outside the forum also who have done a lot of work in web development field .. so you can easilly hire one from us or from outside ...

    Making a website specially for the new business is quite interesting experience personally i had coz clients are eager about their product or service they are providing so the developer should also be energetic to meet the scope for the product owner

      I suggest you research on your target market first. From there, you'll know how to design your website. You can also set the functionality of your website based on your target market.
      You also need to hire someone professional to do your website. If you have budget, you might want to ask help from a social media strategist to sort your social media accounts at first until you get a hang of everything with regard to managing your website and social media account.

    I would recommend SquareSpace. My father and I did our own site for a sport fishing business in central america and the interface is easy enough for a senior citizen. Their templates are infinitely customizable and they have great e-commerce support!

    You have 2 options at the moment.
    If you don't have knowledge about creating website for your business then hire someone who can do the job for you. On the other hand, the easiest way to increase your business online presence is to use social media page/s instead.

    Recently I had an idea of a small online business selling all sorts of interesting "stuff". And I decided to make a website without making a business plan. Of course, I did not want to invest money in this, because the payoff was unclear. I found the free website builder webstarts.com. (There are other similar sites: wix, squarespace,weebly - just choose. I like webstarts.)

    While doing site (with errors and suffering) in my head became the clear result, which I want to achieve and schemes to achieve it. The process of creating the site cleans logic from unnecessary emotions.You can try it yourself, so much so that it's free. Good luck!

    Go watch some youtube videos on building a wordpress website. It's as easy as using Microsoft Word.

    You will also have to buy hosting, which you get from a hosting company so that your website has somewhere to be stored. Youtube videos will show you how to set up the hosting once you pay for the account.

    Use your own initiative and search for solutions. There are many videos out there on how to do this.

    Firstly, if you are planning to make an online business website, then, you should gather some knowledge about the latest trends like what kind of websites are designed in nowadays by others,what platforms/ technologies they are using, so you may get an idea that what type of website you want to create.
    Else you may hire web designers or may give a try to designing software like TemplateToaster, Arty, Webo etc.. But, it would be good if you do some research first.
