Change the Sidebar Background color in the default wp theme

I just want to make the side bar in the default wordpress theme (kubrick) a different color! Also I would like to make the text (sidebar) a different color also.

Find the div class tag and change it in the CSS file...

The whole background on the WP default them is actually one image. The content area is white and the sidebar is that light gray with the border included as well. You would need to edit the entire background image to change the sidebar. The image is here:
