Hi All,

I am using one now which is HORRIBLE because the blog section has NO sharing features. I am looking for an easy drag and drop website builder where I can have a nice blog with sharing features AND I can put popups on for sign ups. I find Wordpress so difficult to use and have looked at many of those but because I am not a developer, I can't get any of those sites to look right.

I need easy and something with great SEO factors. THANKS!

Weebly is user friendly. But again, you will realize later that Wordpress is worth your time. Put some effort and practice Wrodpress. There is nothing as much better as Wordpress.

I would suggest Blogger or WordPress for beginners.

but if you want to have a total control over your website, I suggest purchasing your own domain and a hosting account can give you more freedom on what you really wanted.

  • WordPress is the easiest blogging platform for non-developers. You won't get so much of freedom and support on any other platforms. Weebly is good but again, not so helpful when it comes to attracting people.

I have heard good things about squarespace and wix,
but ultimately wordpress is the way to go.

The thing about using a free all-in-one website host/builder is, they can shut you down some day if they decide to (not so likely, but they can) (I understand some of them will delete your account if you haven't used it for months or years). If you buy your own domain, buy hosting for it, and then put wordpress on it, "they" can't shut you down, it is yours.

EXACTLY of course today that is what sort of happened. They are still around BUT their hosting is acting funny so I can't even edit my site.

I might add.. dont use free hosts. They might last for 1 year, 5 years, but eventually your site will get deleted. If you put in alot of work its just not worth the risk..

  • I would ask you this question: Are you prepared to invest the time to learn how to use a web publishing platform? No matter what you see on TV commercials, it takes time to learn how to use any platform. If you are not willing to put in the time, hire someone or have a crappy site.
