BEST SITE STRUCTURE?

Hi!

I'm ready to build my first IM site, in the health niche. The domain has been purchased and the first affiliate product has been chosen. I want to set the site up in a way that:

1. Captures email addresses, to which I'll promote my affiliate product via programmed autoresponder. (I plan to generate traffic offline as well.) GOAL #1 FOR ALL TRAFFIC IS TO GET THEIR EMAIL.

2. Is structured for SEO-friendly building. I'd like the site to eventually be huge and content-rich, selling multiple aff. products in the health niche (with the email list as it's backbone).

Should I:

- Put a squeeze page on the homepage of mydomain.com, for the sake of maximizing optins from both on and offline marketing? (I'm concerned that this will be bad for the site's SEO and may have other downsides) or

- Instead use optin popups, 2 step optins, or some other option (what is the best?) on the homepage, which may give it greater SEO and versatility in the future, and perhaps put a traditional squeeze page elsewhere on the site for online marketing efforts?

  • Also, if a squeeze page on one's site is back linked all over the internet (from twitter, FB, YT, etc.) rather than a content-rich page, how much difference does this make in terms of SEO?

In other words, if all of your back links point to your squeeze page instead of a normal content page or home page, does this hurt your SEO and how much?
  • For a best site best content is necessary other than the best structure. As you asked capture email and seo friendly is required in website
  • another option i just read about is to use a "splash page" on the homepage of the website, then install wordpress on mydomain.com/home or something. splash differing from squeeze in that the visitor gets the option of "no thanks, just take me to the website". thoughts?
  • would appreciate any thoughts

  • That statement tells that you need to build an authority blog in the the fitness/health niche. Get started. You'll need to write a lot of content yourself OR hire someone who is equally as badass to do it for you.

Then, you add a lightbox popup on your site to capture emails, and another email capture on your sidebar.

Drive some clicks with youtube and organic search.

Email your list affiliate products whenever you find a good one to promote.

    Repeat!
