why CMS site heavy than HTML coded Site?

Actually one of my Social Indian Site: www.aosproduct.com coded in PHP by using CMS, My opinion from my Designer to change it in HTML latest, because i fill that its slow speed due to CMS, can any one help me?

  It depend on your website but in general HTML websites will be faster than a CMS because they are more lightweight.
