Duplicate text

Hello guys
I have a question
I need to create a portion of text (disclaimer/policy) that appears on each page (as text, not image) but doesn't register as duplicate text to google.
How can I achieve that?

I have a wordpress website

Any ideas?

  • Do you think Google can't discern a disclaimer?

Quit worrying about duplicate text (there is no such thing anyway).
  • If you really want to show few lines of disclaimer/policy on every page just write it and create a .jpg of the text and place the image in the footer widget.

    • This is exactly what I do and was going to suggest. Andy.

By the way Steve Johnson, the problem may not be 'duplicate content' (which, actually, is how Google see it), but the issue with Google discriminating against affiliate websites. One of the top dogs at Google once said affiliate sites are an unnecessary obstacle between buyers and sellers. Google's internal website raters guidelines have expressly said affiliate links are to be considered spam regardless of the quality of the web page.

That's why SEO expert Aaron Wall at SEO Book has said "Google hate[s] affiliates in their ecosystem" and has shown a "consistent disdain toward affiliate sites." "Affiliates are getting torched for not being a 'real' merchant"

This information was gleaned from articles by Brian Kindsvater, a long-time Warrior, who has been sharing his knowledge here since 2004.
