website won't show

hi.
i'm putting together a website with xsitepro. i published the site, and everything went as it should. then when i entered my url in my webbrowser, i get the "index/of" white page and no website.

i used filezilla to access my public_html file, and all of my site files were there. why if my site is in my public_html file, will my site not show?

    You need to make sure that your homepage is named any one of the following:

    index.html
    index.htm
    index.php
    Signature

    Did you delete the old index.html and replace it with your's ??

    did you select which page is your homepage more importantly

    Sometimes, if your page is named "Index.html" instead of "index.html" it can make a difference as to why it is not there.

    I would go in and delete the "index.html" or "Index.html", and then go and reload using Filezilla or CoreFTP to see if you can get it to show up.

    That might be the problem.
