I have a line of text I'd like to remove in my footer.php editor and there are
tags before and after the text...should those tags also be removed? I am attaching a screenshot to help - thanks!

    Just remove one
tag, this way the Privacy Policy, and Copyright links stay on their own line.

      Kalina: It worked. Thank you greatly. It shows just the two lines of texts now and I was kind of hesitant at first but know if you copy + paste the contents to Notepad you are safe, in case something is messed up. But I really appreciated your input. I looked all over for tips on that
tag removal....not much can be found. I assume if I wanted to add some kind of link at a later date in that same area, that I could.....so long as it is properly pasted somewhere in between that
I left and another one I would add, correct? I appreciate you!

    @toivo: Yes, that is correct.

    The BR tag stands for "break" or in this case, line break. It is was tells the browsers to display the following content on a new line so to add content in between two lines of text, you would simply add your new content AFTER one set of BR tags and then add another set after YOUR new HTML.

    Hope that makes sense to you.

      Johnny: Web tech inadvertently added the URL back on homepage after launching the site (see screenshot) but the code is no longer in footer but in theme function (see attached) and I am wondering what exact code to delete, as I want to be sure.....and should one
tag stay, like in footer code? Any feedback appreciated. Thanks

    appreciate these insights.....
equals "break".....I initially had phenomenal assistance in setting up a woocommerce based store, and my designer had the URL there and just needed to delete it....want the "official" site to be void of as many unnecessary links as possible.I appreciate you
