I'd like to move my website to wordpress. I'm concerned I may lose traffic and revneue if I do.
Do I have a valid concern? I need to do something because I can no longer access my Xsitepro
software to make changes and updates.

  • Why do you think that you will lose traffic and revenue?
Because the website will be down?

If that's the case you can create the website in WordPress first and then when it's ready you can change the URL so it points to the WordPress site instead.
That way you will have no down time.
  • May I know what the easiest way to convert XSitePro website to Wordpress?

  • If the HTML tags and structure for your site are different after you move to Wordpress, it can potentially affect your Google ranking and ranking by other search engines. I'm not going to list it all out here, but you should study on page SEO factors by Google and analyze how that may affect your move.
  • Moving a website from one platform to another does not affect website performance. It will only be affected if the URLs stop functioning, website down or any other issue. If you handle the switch to WordPress correctly, there won't be any webbsite downtime and your webbsite will become even better in terms of SEO using WordPress features. best of luck!
  • Thanks for all the advises. Will try it out.
  • Around 5 years ago, we also moved our site from an e commerce platform to wordpress. There hasn't been any issues traffic wise. We worked on our SEO since then and traffic improved a lot.
  • Thanks for all the useful info.
