How can I setup ssl and HTTPS on my wordpress site

Hello,
I have a website that I want to promote products through, so I have to check on SEO parmaters using some programs, one of the errors appeared that against SEO rules is that SSL/HTTPS either not updates or not installed, I want to know how to check on that and if not installed/enabled how to do it?, I use Wordpress site .

  • Have you purchased an ssl cert? Or are you looking for free ssl?

    Some shared hosts will have a free way to do ssl.

    • You'll need an ssl certificate. You buy this through your hosting company is easiest way. From there you can use a HTTPS redirect plugin

  • SSL Certificates are domain specific, if your hosting provider offers shared SSL then you can request for the same and they will set it up for you. If not then you have to buy one for your domain and share Certificate bundle with your host and they will help you in setting up.

  • You can buy ssl certificates for your domain from your web host but I think most web hosting companies comes with free ssl for 1 year. Just contact the customer support from your web host to help you set your ssl certificates.

  • I hope your query has been solved but if not and if you want to see in future, is ssl certificate already installed/enabled on your website/domain or not then check this free ssl checker tool.
  • Go buy a domain at name cheap, their SSL is only 1.69$ if you buy with a domain.

    They've a very clear instruction on their website, also if your website is using cpanel it won't be that difficult I tried setting up SSL for the very first time on my website last week, took me less than 30mins to figure it out.
