Hi everyone,
About 2 years ago I had finished consolidating all my domains down to one host, Arvixe. This was after a 2 year test run prior to that with a select group of domains. Customer service was fair, everything on theier customer site worked... but now...

Customer service s**ks, it will take them days to respond to a message with [URGENT] in the title. If your wonder why I would have to say priority level in the title, they removed all priority levels from their list leaving only "Normal".

When trying to register a domain their domain search form crashes, it has been like that for a year now. Yes, I've tried different browsers, even from different computer locations. I know the standard trouble shooting questions so please dont ask.

Anyone else on Arvixe? Am I the only one that thinks Arvixe sucks? Who are you guys using for your ASP.NET sites?

They were recently acquired by EIG.
EIG are pretty notorious for buying web hosts and running them into the ground.

Jump ship and move (take a backup) to a non-EIG host.

Thats a pain! After all that research and testing! ugh. Looks like your down under? I would otherwise ask if you know any good NA hosts.

You should by all means avoid EIG owned hosts. Don't get caught up by all the catchy ads and affiliate links. EIGs profit from investors and besides there are so many brands, a customer leaving one brand just ends up on another. Because if they knew, they would never sign up in the first place.

Saying this does not make me happy, though. It makes me sad. All those money, wasted in ads and marketing and not in supporting clients.

Move out as soon as you can. And when you sign up with your next host:

        1. Do not register domains from the hosting provider, buy from someone whose primary product is domain

        2. Always take your own backup

        3. Do not land on to another EIG.

Yes, I also see many thread about them on other forums, I don't have any idea with them, but since they are bought by EIG, they receive massive complaints from users. Hope everything will be OK again.

For ASP.NET sites, I would recommend you to use asphostportal. Many asp.net users use them, just see their reviews ASPHostPortal.com ASP.NET 5 Hosting, ASP.NET MVC 6 Hosting & SQL 2014 Hosting | The ASP.NET Site
