Wordpress Navigation Help Needed

I have a WP site utilizing static pages. There is a "page" widget in the right column to navigate to other pages. When I click on a link in that menu it navigates to a page that has only the first sentence of the post (page) and you have to click the title to continue to the then page with the full post. The URL shows

website/category/parent_category_name/page_name

then when you click the title it navigates to website/page_name. Is there a way to eliminate that middle step in the navigation?

Thanks!

  • Hi,

Would you please share the URL of your blog/site...
I want to have a look on it to understand what is going on there...

  • There are several ways to add navigation to a WP sidebar. You could add the links manually into a text widget. This would give you full control but as I said it is manual. Another method is sort of manually too and that is adding the pages to the Blogroll or Links widget.
  • raiko, slightly off topic but just wanted to send you a thanks in regards to the paypal info pm you sent me. I cannot pm at the moment because of my low post count, so figured I'd thank you here. Spellchecker is not kind with email addresses lol.
